I just want to get an idea of who I watch the best show ever devised with.
I'm 20.

I am kind of surprised at the number of people around my age (18) that are on this board-considering the show started 15 years ago and all (and I don't know many people my age who actually like mst). Thought I'd be the youngest but I guess I underestimated the power and appeal of the show.

Oh and I forgot to add, when did you all start to watch the show? I started at 12 (as stated above heh).

The show debuted when I was in high school. I taped most of the season 2 episodes when they were first aired. That makes me 28.
It was a great time to be in high school. Mst3k was starting... the Simpsons were starting...Richard Marx & Vanilla Ice ruled the airwaves...

I'm 22 and I began watching Mystery Science Theater in July of 2002. I was just flipping through channels one Saturday morning and I stumbled across this movie, Track of the Moonbeast. I think I caught it right in the middle, thinking it was hilarious and that's when I officially got hooked. That's not my first MST experience, but it's when I became a full-time viewer of the show. I do remember in the early '90's, I was watching a movie with people on the bottom of the screen making fun of it. The picture was fuzzy, but I could still make everything out and I remember seeing the words, "Mystery Science Theater 3000". I tried to find it on the channel again, but I couldn't. So, I haven't watched an episode of MST3K until last summer.

Well I may be the old man of the board. I'm 48 and started watching about season three shortly after I first got cable. I was kind of surprised at the time that so many of the letters were from kids, much of the humor would surely go over their heads. One thing that I liked right away was references to things from my childhood. Like Joel telling the Bots about dangerous toys from the past in Earth Vs The Spider. I used to think they were writting the show just for me. Likely not though, but I was often surprised when they'd make an obscure joke and I'd say how'd they know I'd get that?

I'm 18 for now, and I'm not sure when I started watching that show. Probably 1999, but it might've been as early as 1997. All I know is that MST3K: The Movie was the first thing that I saw, followed shortly afterwards by 801-Revenge Of The Creature. Not a clue how new or old either was at the time, though.

I started watching it about 5 years ago. The first full episode I ever saw was Diabolik when it first aired. Better late than never I guess. I really regret not watching BEFORE it was canceled. I remember a few years before that I caught a host segment. It was the one with Bobo making a sandwich (from The Undead) and I was like, what IS this?? I was so confused. That was the first time I was exposed to mst. I'm glad I came back to it.

I'm 13.
I can't believe it's actually been 2 years (about) since I watched my first episode. Phew. Believe it or not, I actually do get a lot of the references that they make to all those other things on the show, unlike all my rather uneducated-in-the-ways-of-Mc Cloud classmates. Haha. It's not just the fart jokes that make me laugh. ;D

27 in December!
MST3K is for all ages. It's one of those things sensors can't really complain about... Accept for that one episode when Pearl and Brain Guy are in that bathroom, and Bobo comes in with a handfull of balloons... that was a shocker when i saw it.....

Yeah, that was an awkward sketch....
Didn't Pearl have something censored once? Like she said a word and the Brains didn't know that it was a bad word, or something?

Started watching early, 1990 fresh out of H.S.
Though i wasn't as devoted a fan for the first few years, i definitely was aware of the show and liked it ALOT almost everytime I watched it(i remember being so bored by Castle of Fu Manchu i turned it off-haven't seen that one since it aired on CC years ago-i wonder if i'd like it now?)
I do recall being completely transfixed by episodes like Day the Earth Froze and Manos-i guess thats when i became a true fan, laughing til i cried.
I'm 32 nowand I watch more MST3K than ever before-the older i get, the more i realize how incredibly awful most TV is nowadays, so its MST to the rescue!
I'd like to know which ep you guys were talking about a few posts back, where pearl is in the bathroom or something?
don't recall that one....

Not a bad episode. Not a personal favorite, but I don't mind watching it when it comes on.
