Hello, we made a documentary about Manos: The Hands Of Fate called 'Hotel Torgo'. It has been a couple years in the making and its finally complete. We interviewed Bernie Rosenblum, the kid that was making out with the girl in the car. It was a riot, it was so much fun and everyone in El Paso couldn't have been nicer. Also Bernie is not dead, i spoke with him a few days ago and hes alive and well, he chuckled over the apperent suicide that is listed under his name on IMDB. We want people who are fans of Manos to hear this story because the actual truth behind all the rumours and the making of this film is truly facinating, i'm sure Manos lovers and film lovers will enjoy it. Please ask any questions and i'll get back to anyone who wants to know more or anything else regarding Manos, The Doc and other Mano-ish subjects. Look for it soon! Also Check out Hotel Torgo's clip on the festival website of Bernie Rosenblum. www.torontoonlinefilmfestival.com/And Check out the Hotel Torgo page on IMDB, www.imdb.com/title/tt0422433/ A clip will be on this site as well www.torontoonlinefilmfestival.com That's all for now, have fun! Cheers, Aaron Allard

Sounds great! When/Where/How will we be able to see it? My thoughts exactly. My initial thought was "Hah, hah!", but, after reading the rest of the original post, I now think it sounds very interesting.

Manos is a movie when I first saw I could not belive, Their was only 3 voices in the whole movie, I saw the marker in one of the scenes where the kids make out in the car, Torgo died about 3 times and where not really sure if he is dead. It's just this movie that makes me wonder what the hell was going on when they made it. Manos also had the stupidest line ever said in a movie "honey we can lock ourselves in the kitchen I have my gun" And also the scene where Torgo goes to get the luggage what was that? was that supposed to be scary? Who would that scare? I don't know anyway I also can not wait to see your film. Try to sell it to IFC they might buy it.

As far as I can tell, I'm the only one who ever had a copy of the movie, and mine is lost somewhere. Here is my review.

Probably a dumb question, but...Who was this thing (the documentary) supposed to appeal to? I mean if you ask anyone with any knowlege at all about Manos, the first thing they'll mention is MST3K.. And just a brief mention? Who would care otherwise unless they were MST fans?

Fans of cult movies and fine cheese would like this I think BCFZ. I hope they put it out on DVD!

Well, I think that the grouping of MST3K fans are larger than most people think. Most people who like B-Movies like MST3K, but many not to the degree that we all do. They like it probably, mostly for the B-movies.

Manos is getting a wider reputation. A columnist in the Chicago SunTimes wrote about it being the worst film ever made, and apparently it has sparked interest. I emailed her, and she had never seen the MST3K version of it. I believe she rented it and watched it. I certainly hope so, and I hope she liked it better than just the film itself.
