Satellite News just posted about it. Apparently the discs have only just recently been completed. So why did they say they were ready awhile ago? Manufacturing problems? Anyway, here's hoping the discs arrive soon.

I just received a return phone call from Mac Dunlop. You may recognize him as the person whom Vol. 7 owners were to send their edited Killer Shrews discs to at Rhino New Media. That was when someone at the Cheese-a-Rama discussion board posted the contents of an email in which Rhino first announced the replacement disc offer and that to receive them, initially requested that we mail our discs to them. They have since waived that requirement to send in our old discs.
Mac, who reads all email sent to him at drrhino@rhino.com, responded to my voice mail. I had purchased three copies of Vol. 7 and thought it would be difficult to receive three replacement discs unless I sent each copy of Disc #4 -- The Killer Shrews that I owned to the original address in the mail-in offer along with copies of the receipts and invoices detailing the purchases along with a letter detailing my specific request.
Anyway, Mac told me that he had just mailed in my three replacement discs and that I should receive them in 3-5 days. That should give an idea to all of you about when to expect your discs to arrive.

Thanks for the update, PP. I hope Mac read my email way back. He never responded.
The countdown begins...

So I guess there's still no chance that you can buy a #7 set with a corrected disc of Killer Shrews in the stores, huh?

Well, they didn't actually. Originally, I just sent them my address, and they responded saying they'll send me a replacement disc. Now let's see if it actually comes in the mail.

This is a copy of my correspondence with Rhino, according to them I do not have to send in the original;
>No need to send in your disc.

I know, but funny thought came to mind, the replacement will be just the missing footage, thus reason for us not to send in the defective disc. Now this wont happen, but it does sound funny.

I find it surprising that Rhino wouldn't want people to first send in their defective discs, that way you don't even need to buy the set and get Killer SHrews for free!!! No, it's typical practice in for companies to send replacement DVDs without requiring the defective one to be sent in. (FOX has the same replacement deal going for the Star Wars: A New Hope DVD, which pixellates something awful about an hour into the movie on a lot of DVD players. Just call 1-888-223-2FOX about it, and they will send a new copy to you immediately without requiring the defective one to be sent back.)

I just want everyone to know that, at least in my case, the replacement Killer Shrews discs from Rhino that I received today includes the footage that was missing originally from my copies of Volume 7. I hope all other Vol. 7 owners will receive theirs soon and report back as well.

You should send an email to drrhino@rhino.com. In the email, you should inform Rhino that you own a copy of Volume 7 and that you want to request the replacement disc offer for MST3K Volume 7, Disc #4 -- The Killer Shrews. Please include your name, address and telephone number in the email. You can also leave a voice mail at the following telephone number for Mac Dunlop at Rhino: 1-800-546-3670 If you call, leave a message requesting the disc replacement offer on The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, Volume 7, Disc #4 -- The Killer Shrews, along with your name and telephone number, and possibly your address. Mac Dunlop will call you back and will ask for your mailing address if you neglected to mention it in the email. Rhino will send the replacement disc out using regular mail.
