Sure to make Trace era Crow happy, opposed to Bill era Crow who IIRC actually mocked it, a sequel to Road House, Road House 2: Last Call is in pre-production. www.imdb.com/title/tt0469965/Now we just need a Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man 2 and the world can explode with fear...

In reality, Mike Nelson may be crying tears of joy as we speak.

Oh, let's have a Patrick Swayze Christmas this year...
Or we'll tear your throat out and kick you in the ear!

Actually I read an interview with Swayze and he says he turned it down because they wanted to kill him off. Johnathan Schaech plays his nephew who avenges Dalton's death. When I think of a rough and tumble bouncer, Schaech does NOT come to mind. Yep, it's gonna be another useless, marginally related suck ass straight to DVD sequel to a classic.

*Sigh* It won't be the same without Pat though.

I remember hearing about this months ago. I read an article on comingsoon.net and smiled, thinking "Mike must be thrilled." www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=10335There's not much info there, really just lists the director. There's also info on a Hollow Man 2 if anybody's interested (and I don't blame you if you're not).

But the first Hallow Man sucked so bad. Why, oh why would they make a sequal that's very likely to suck worse?

For whatever sad reason, I found this movie on the IMDB today ... but I'm *SO* looking forward to this! I have to wait until 2006? No!
A small message group has started on the IMDB site ... this was a great post about possible tag lines for Road House 2:
Road House 2: No, seriously Road House 2: 100% swayze free Road House 2: this time you'll tear out your own throat Road House 2: CGI makes the bar fights even less realistic Road House 2: Available on DVD within 6 weeks or your money back Road House 2: Boat House Road House 2: That Dog Won't Hunt Road House 2: Nobody Puts Dalton In A Corner
Oh how can they make me wait?!?!

I like the 'no seriously' one and the 'This time you'll tear out your own throat' one

Road House 2 leaves itself open to all kinds of ridicule! I'm going to have to think of more tag lines. Those were so great!

I'm convinced MST3K will be revived solely for this movie.

How about they get Bruce Leroy in that sequel? Ya know, from that show he did, the one called (I'm not making this up) Road House: The Stage Version of the Cinema Classic That Starred Patrick Swayze, Except This One Stars Taimak From the '80s Cult Classic 'The Last Dragon' Wearing a Blonde Mullet Wig ? Okay, here's a link: www.playbill.com/news/article/81537.html
