There are so many things that are funny about this I don't even know where to begin ;D ***This is taken from Blabbermouth.net which is a Metal/Hard Rock news site***
THOR Struck By Lightning! - Sep. 19, 2005 After conquering over 40 cities and towns in as many days, THOR "The Mighty Rock Warrior" was struck down by an unimaginably powerful bolt of lightning!
This unthinkable event took place in Portland where he was performing for dazzled audiences. As he placed the steel bar to his lips in order to bend it in half with his muscular arms, lightning split the sky and struck him down. He managed to finish the show, but immediately afterwards was rushed into the care of Venus (nurse to the Gods). Due to these unforseen circumstances THOR was forced to cancel the remaining dates on the tour. He is quite fully recovered now and plans to tour again this winter. Look for dates soon.
THOR is continuing to promote his new album, entitled "Thor against the World", and retrospective DVD, entitled "An-THOR-logy", available on Smog Veil Records.

Damn he likes the name "Thor" alot. I mean Jon Mikl THOR, THORkestra, Thor against the World, An-THOR-logy. What's the deal with this guy (who I'm assuming, real name is something like Chester Smith) and the name "Thor"?

Whatever that link is to is being blocked by our firewall here at work and is listed as being blocked due to it being "Pornography"... I don't even want to think of Thor in a porno... I'd like to think this "Smartfilter" for giving me that nauseating image It blocks all sorts of sites saying they are showing subject matter that they aren't...

I did link to that site. Now I know more about JMT than I ever needed to know. He did "nudie shows", and bends steel rods on stage.

Great quote from this link: "More than a hard rock heavy hitter, Thor may just be the Dirk Diggler of heavy metal." He looks kinda like Kevin Murphy now.

I'm no authority on ancient legends.... but isn't Thor the Norse God of Thunder... and if John Mikel Thor really did get struck by lightning and survived, isn't it POSSIBLE that he actually is said God... (and if that is true will he weild the mighty Mjourn, or however you spell that thing, get his own comic book and join the Avengers... and if that's true, but i digress) ... who's next? Will Poison front man Bret Michaels be Poisoned and live? Will Quiet Riot stage a low decibeled protest? Will the guy from Stryper be pelted with fish? Who's next?

It boggles the mind. I've always wondered if you can get super powers from getting hit by lighting and not dying. Perhaps I should go find out.
