starwait.com/This DVD comes out Tuesday and features commentary by the original cast of MST3K. Nifty little documentary and even cooler with this commentary! I've already ordered mine.

I don't know....this sounds like the SW equivilant of Trekkies..."Let's make some money slapping the fans in the face!" Now I'm torn if they're in it.

Wild Rebel, I would disagree with you that Trekkies made fun of Trek fans. I liked it, and I'm sure there are those out there who would consider me a Trekkie.
No, Trekkies seemed to make fun of the outer fringe of the fans. I certainly don't dress in drag and sing folk songs about Star Trek. The overall message of the movie seemed to be how it made people happy more than "Hey, look at these freaks!"

Cool beans. Sounds neat, but isn't something for me (especially with lack of money).

Hey I picked this up at Target for five bucks. Unfortunately, Joel, Trace and Josh only provide commentary for the first two chapters (about 20 min.) but it's still hilarious and makes one yearn for more. Hopefully they'll pull a film crew type revival. Trace only says about five words, but Joel and Josh are hysterical. The funniest part for me is one of the fans making his own lightsaber. He runs a file through a piece of pipe in a suggestive manner and Joel muses drolly "Well, there are obsenity laws..." Awesome. Watching this makes your misty (no pun intended) for the good old days. Cross your fingers for more J Tand J collaborations...

Is it improv? I only ask because you mention Trace has the least amount of words. I don't know why Joel says he was so freaked out at improv in the theater. He seemed a lot more calm there, than his apperances on SNL and during KTMA host segments. He also did a pretty good job of keeping up with Josh.

It seemed like they were basically watching the film for the first time, which explains probably why Josh gets the most lines in...

But is there really enough J,T&J to satisfy a hardcore MSTie?

Come on Joel, Josh, and Trace together for the first time since 1990 (that's over 15 years to you and me)... even if its only for 20 minutes, it's worth it, and its only 5 bucks!

Bummer, I was actually going to go buy it, but the Target I went to didn't have them anywhere in sight. Guess I'll have to try another one.

I had the same problem so I ordered it off the www.starwait.com web site and got it 2 days later. The commentary is really funny.
