I found this item on imdb.com. Who would let Giancola touch a camera after Time Chasers?
Anna Nicole Smith Pulls Out of Premiere
Anna Nicole Smith pulled out of her own movie premiere in New York on Wednesday over security fears. The actress/model was shaken up by photographers and reporters, who crowded her when she arrived at the Supreme Court in Washington, DC on Tuesday and she feared a repeat at the launch of her new film. As a result, Smith was a no-show at the premiere for Illegal Aliens, which she stars in and helped fund. Director David Giancola explained, "On the Supreme Court steps she was so crushed by media, they were very intimidated." Meanwhile, the actress' mental state has been questioned again in America after she appeared for one TV interview to promote her new film wearing just her underwear - and slurring her answers.
After looking into his filmography further I see that he DID do Icebreaker a cheezy rip off of Die Hard (At a ski resort!) which at least gave us Bruce Campbell as a BALD villain...

I personally liked Time Chasers, but that's just me.
But I agree that his directing plus Anna Nicole Smith's acting is a combination best to be avoided.

Anything that actually requires Anna Nicole to use her brain (acting, talking, driving, etc.) is most likely something that should be avoided.

David Giancola did a wonderful interview for the Discussion Board last year ( here), and he is a funny, intelligent person who has been able to run a small independent film company for more than 10 years, quite a feat. We like him very much. That being said, this movie looks absolutely terrible. There's already a thread about it in Mitchell's Movies, BTW.
