I have been recently wondering which episodes will be featured on MST3K Volume 9. If anyone out there knows, now would be a good time to tell!!

I have no idea.
Here are a few I'd like to see out though:
"309: The Amazing Colossal Man" "311: It Conquered the World" "319: War of the Colossal Beast" "423: Bride of the Monster" "519: Outlaw (from Gor)" "521: Santa Claus" "601: Girl's Town" "612: The Starfighters" - this is a MUST. Rhino should do this one. "613: The Sinister Urge" "617: The Sword and the Dragon" "806: The Undead" "812: The Incredibly Strange Creatures who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies" "817: Horror of Party Beach" "909: Gorgo" "1001: Soultaker"

With my luck it will be 4 of my favorite episodes of all time (Frost, Santa, Yucca, Painted Hills), and the picture will be too dark, riddled with glitches and missing 2 minutes of riffing for each episode. Yes, I've completely lost faith, confidence and am completely cynical about the whole thing

I would love to see Painted Hills on a Rhino set, but I would think that the whole "Lassie" connection would make things a little more difficult. Assuming that Lassie is still a copyrighted/trademarked entity or whatever, it would probably make buying the rights a little more expensive than some average B-movie.

Then I'll take Blood Beast, we need Season 7 represented as well as one of the Russian epics.

If 701 does get done, perhaps they should also include the Turkey Day segments as a separate extra.
The movies acquired from season 7 were more expensive than the other ones.
I forgot "813: Jack Frost." That was a classic ep.
I'd also like to see "208: Lost Continent," one of the first two MST3K eps I've seen all the way through.

I'd like to see a set with 2 Mikes and 2 Joels. Can't say which ones, too many too choose from!

Again, I'd like to see Rhino release a set containing "612: The Starfighters," one of my favorites. That one is a MUST in my book. I'd like to see more Season 3 though, though of course Rhino couldn't touch the Sandy Frank lot, yet. Perhaps "311: It Conquered the World," or a few others that I'd like to see released. "621: The Beast of Yucca Flats" is also another possibility.

Speaking of Sandy Frank... I've heard the stories on how he hated the MST treatment on his 'movies' and whatnot. Still, I can't imagine Fugitive Alien, Mighty Jack and the like generating him much money at this point. I would like to hold out hope that money talks and Sandy would pocket what I would imagine amounts to a decent chunk of change for the rights to pretty much junk. Also, does anybody around here have any connections to the industry? I'd be really curious as to how much cash Rhino has to lay out to include some crusty grade-Z movie on a box set or how much BBI/CC/Sci-Fi had to pay in the first place to broadcast them. EDIT: Just did a google search on Sandy Frank... looks like he is still a decent sized player in the TV industry. I don't think he's hurting for the money that any of his MSTied films would bring in. Oh well...

Actually, he was mad that he himself was being mocked. Joel and the 'bots really, REALLY, insulted him directly.
I wonder if they'll do an Essentials II: I could see them double-dipping "619: Red Zone Cuba" and place it with "521: Santa Claus."

Yeah...and if he didn't like the way they were making fun of him in "Mighty Jack", "Time of the Apes", and "Star Force"--the season 3 versions--I REALLY hope he never sees the KTMA ones. (Or maybe he _has_, and that's why he's this mad...) I mean, saying that you want to "gob on his face and make him cry" is one thing, but in K07, Gamera Vs. Zigra, they said they wanted to _kill_ him! "What's the first thing you wanna do when you get back to Earth?" "Kill Sandy Frank!" "Well, that's a given, I mean _after_ that." (Joel walks in a bit later) "Hey, Joel, what's the first thing you wanna do when you get back to Earth?" (Joel does a thoughtful expression) "No, _after_ that."
...of course they meant it jokingly, but under the circumstances, it doesn't sound good...put it this way: I don't think Mr. Frank would take it AS joking, from what little we know of his personality here. It's hard to imagine him actually being a _successful_ presence in the film industry, though...good lord...
At any rate, it's a real shame that those episodes can never be obtained anywhere except from fans...anyway. I agree that I'd like to see some of the cheesy stuff from Season 3 put on there. Like It Conquered the World, or Viking Women...or maybe Earth Vs. the Spider. The two Amazing Colossals would be a good alternative, too. I'd make some suggestions except I don't have the already-existing Rhinos memorised, so I'm sure I'd accidentally repeat something...

I'm hoping it's all Comedy Central. Hopefully a Spy episode, the only genre not done yet. Though then i hope it will have uncut versions-a must.
Fire Maidens- Timmy. Season 6- my fav season, always a welcome heaping.

If one must include a Sci Fi, or Mike episode, it must be Puma Man. =D

Oooh...Puma Man!!! Just saw my old tape of it. Yeah, that was a real stinker!!
But still, I have to say, "612: The Starfighters" needs a Rhino release, most certainly.
