Speaking of Sandy Frank... I've heard the stories on how he hated the MST treatment on his 'movies' and whatnot. Still, I can't imagine Fugitive Alien, Mighty Jack and the like generating him much money at this point. I would like to hold out hope that money talks and Sandy would pocket what I would imagine amounts to a decent chunk of change for the rights to pretty much junk. Sandy Frank no longer has the rights to the Gamera movies, Time of the Apes, Mighty Jack or the Fugitive Alien I&II. Rhino would have to go directly the the Japanese companies in order to secure the rights.

I'll be the first to admit that I know nothing of copyright laws/broadcast rights/public domain laws, etc.
But it does seem a little odd to me that Rhino could market, say the Mighty Jack episode by just obtaining rights from the original Japanese company. The thing has Sandy Frank's name all over the opening credits. They don't need to deal with him at all to release the version that he produced/dubbed?
I'm not trying to doubt what you're saying, I'm just curious.

I'm not trying to doubt what you're saying, I'm just curious. That's a good question. They'd probably have to clear it by him. Some of the dubs (GAMERA VS. BARUGON, GAMERA VS. GAOS) were "international dubs" done by the Japanese company... so SF just tacked on his opening. I think this may be the case for most of them.. but I don't know exactly which. What a headache.. perhaps Rhino could look in to it, but it would seem unlikely we'll ever see them officially released.

I think it's unlikely any of the Sandy Frank will be released by Rhino.

I'm hoping for THE GIANT GILA MONSTER and NIGHT OF THE BLOODBEAST, and any SciFi Channel-era episodes would be fine too.
And we need "POOPIE! II", "THE LAST DANCE- RAW!", and "THE SCRAPBOOK TAPE" on DVD. Rhino should at least be able to include Poopie II on one DVD as an extra.

Well, we'll find out eventually. Sometimes Rhino has a tendency to surprise us. I wasn't expecting "404: Teenagers From Outer Space" to be released on Rhino. So, we don't know what's going to come out with the next release.

Hmmm. Yeah, maybe Season 1 might be a possibility, they did release "The Crawling Hand."
"519: Outlaw" might also be a good candidate.
We'll just have to find out though...

I can say what I WANT to be on volume 9.
The Incredible Melting Man
Girls Town
Attack Of The The Eye Creatures
Jack Frost
Now that would be a great set, although I don't see it happening!

Revenge of the Creature!
But, it's universal, so....
I wish Rhino would release an all-season 1 set.
Oh yeah, and put KTMA episode Hangar 18, since it's public domain.

I'd like to see Puma Man included in one of the future boxsets. Hands down one of the best Sci Fi episodes.

I'm kind of expecting Giant Gila Monster. I think I saw a clip of it on an ad for their big box set of old Sci-Fi movies on the Beginning of the End DVD. Since they already have the rights for it, (or is it PD? I don't know much about that stuff) I think they'll probably release it with this set 9.
