... Ever since the "Dead Talk Back" fiasco on Volume 8, ... Pardon my ignorance..."Dead Talk back fiasco"? I backed-off buying the sets immediately upon release post-"Killer Shrews Replacement Disc". I didn't tune-in on the chatter with Vol 8, but I watched this last week upon purchase of the set, and I didn't see anything wrong with it...compared to previous viewings of fan-copies, that is. Did I miss something? Thanks for answering here, instead of making me wade through the 'complaints'. From my website... The Dead Talk GlitchesYou can ignore my rant and see a few pics of the glitches on DTB

Maybe this means an official release date will be forthcoming.
Oh, and to clarify my earlier post, I'm more than willing to wait a little longer if it means a more polished set or a better selection of episodes. They did a pretty good with 9 & 10, but I'm still kind of skeptical when it comes to Rhino releases.
EDIT: The info is back on the front page over at mst3k.com!

How much longer are they going to hold off on announcing the episodes that will be included in this set?

I know it's scheduled for february *three stooges style smack to the head*! But they usually let us know the episodes a couple of months in advance!

Maybe they'll take the extra time to get on their grey mamalian knees before snady frank so we can get the gameras and time of the apes? Sandy Frank does not own the rights to the Gamera movies, Time of the Apes, Starforce, or any of the other Japanese films/TV series featured on MST.

Sandy Frank does own the rights to the dubs he did of those shows featured on MST3K. One would still have to secure rights from Sandy Frank to release any of those episodes even if they owned the Gamera movies or the other shows. For that reason, the fact that you'd have to license both the movies and the dubs, I find it highly unlikely we'll see the Sandy Frank stuff come out ever. Stranger things have happened though...

One more thing...as far as I can tell, the rights trail for Gamera does indeed stop with Sandy Frank (via Herst Media) for all the Gamera movies except the new ones and Supermonster.

Hearst Media no longer has the rights to Gamera. According to Kadakowa, Neptune Media does (which in itself is a stupid mess of a situation).

I'm getting ticked off that I keep seeing them being released by everybody else but not in Rhino sets. Of course you realize, there's one fatal flaw: There's no Sci-Fi episode in there. I mean, I don't think it's a flaw, but I just don't see that happening. I'd love to see Yucca Flats released, though.

I wonder if maybe one of the shorts in that episode is the issue with Beast of Yucca Flats. I have that one on tape but for some reason it has an annoying line of static through it.
