Just listening to it now...audio quality is terrible, but well worth listening too.
Lots of good info on MST background stuff and lots of neat info on RiffTrax.

I love alot of the movies they are doing now and it's great to hear Mike talking about it. I have to get a paypal account (which is a bit of a pain) but I want to support them as a devoted mystie!

I'll check it out tonight. My internet was slow last night so I didn't want to download or stream anything like that.

It's a really good interview. Check out the part where Mike talks about the remains of the set all being auctioned off soon after the show ended, and discovering some of his personal property on the auction block. You can tell he was really ticked off about it, in his subtle Midwestern way. Another example of Jim Mallon alienating a cast member.

I can't get the interview to come on, but could you elaborate more on this? It sounds interesting about Mike being mad by the auction.

He was answering a question about whether or not he had any set pieces or mementos of the show.
He basically said that he went in one day after the show ended to collect his stuff and saw that some of his personal things (I think he said a hat and a coat) were tagged for the eBay auction.
He called Mallon, "My producer", which I thought was especially revealing.

(I know he had other reasons, but I think it's safe to say that the feud with Mallon was a major one.)

Okay, I got the interview to work and am listening to it now.
Wow, Mike sounds like he's talking through a Stephen Hawking vocal machine, or something.

I just listened to it last night. And, dammit, I wanted to make the Stephen Hawking reference.

I wonder who got all the money from that auction, if it all went to Jim or if Joel got a cut. Because really, Joel SHOULD have gotten a cut. And they sold some stuff that I didn't really think they should have sold during that auction too. Like the spagetti ball. One observation I have about the interview though is that Mike, underneath all that distortion, sounds a little bit more like Garrison Keillor than he used to.

This is a little off topic but I was wondering what the feud between Joel and Mallon was? I came to the show a little bit later (during the sci fi era) and tho I've caught up with most of the episodes I don't know about some of the trivia some of you guys that watched it earlier know. So yeah, why did Joel leave and what was the feud about?
