...and Mamie Van Doren is not without her charms... RIVERSIDE, Calif.--Zola Taylor, who was the first female member of the 1950s group the Platters, probably the only really talented people in episode 601- GIRLS TOWN, died here May 1 from complications of pneumonia, following several strokes. He wasn't at the time. R.I.P., Zola! Mel wouldn't have been my first choice for a teenage thug! Either inspired casting or complete insanity.

Hope Ms. Taylor rests in peace. I always loved The Platters.
BTW, did anyone ever find out why they refused to film the lead singer in that movie? I mean they REALLY went out of their way to not show his face.
