I'll give it a chance before I even think of condeming it.

They need to fix it so Crow's mouth isn't coming out of his soapdish. That just bugs the crap outta me.

Hi Shad! Good luck with the website. A lot of negative reaction is basically unavoidable in a project like this, since MST3K has been gone for a long time and it's being resurrected in such a different form with new voices. I hope you guys get really weird and experimental with the cartoons, because there are lots of things you can do in a cartoon that you probably can't do with puppets. I would try to put more visual stuff in them if possible, even if it's crude, since there were all kinds of crazy props in the original show. That's my advice!

Well, the next episode is up... Pay attention to Tom's final lines...they sum up the episode perfectly. ...maybe that was their intention.

Well, that was definitely a step up from the previous one. I'm still not convinced that this is anything other than a minor distraction though.

Hmmm.... I think they did a pretty good job casting the new Tom Servo, very much like Tom v.1

I really did like this new short. Reminded me somehow of the "I don't get you" segment from Monster A Go-Go.
B+ Mallon.

It might be cool if they took existing host segments and twisted them, extrapolated them, lengthened them, and added call backs. MITCHELL!!!!
Using existing chemistry & dynamics rather than start from zero (a lake?).
I dunno, lots of opportunity though.

I'll give it a chance before I even think of condeming it. Normally, I'd support this approach. This time, I do not. I was, ultimately, justified in my prejudice. My apologies for neglecting to mention it here, but the current episode (#2) actually leaked out days early. Someone found a direct link to the FLV file. It is a step up, but that's like one step up from the ground floor of the Sears Tower - it's not saying much, really.
