Sirius Radio, Channel 102-
The first trivia question on last Friday's show:
(Dee Snider) In the 1962 movie "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", who's brain wouldn't die? We need the name of the character.
Since I don't have that episode, or have internet access at home, I didn't call right away. But even after the commercial, during which time they usually get a few callers trying to win the prize, they had no correct answers. Special guest host Ralph Cirella (Howard Stern's fashion expert and general dickweed) had to give a hint:
The name rhymes with "Lan Lampton".
I still drew a blank.
So I call in and give the only answer I know "Jan in the Pan", to the screener.
While on hold, Mike from Arizona gets on: "I know this because I have the movie, the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version. Her name is Jan Compton"
Cue winner sound-bite, "OOOper-Dooper!" from Young Frankenstein.
By the way, Ralph had to throw in a quick jab right after hearing "Mystery Science Theater 3000".
(Ralph) "Oh, so you're a Super-Nerd...."
I didn't get on to give my answer, but Mike from Arizona won the Leprechan series DVDs.

My thoughts exactly. They usually let one or two people with the wrong answer go first, then put on the guy with the right answer. Seriously, I wonder how many people listen nation-wide. I've gotten through to the screener twice now on two tries.
It's not like it's crap programming either. Two weeks ago they had Mel Brooks in the studio and did a 2 hour interview. That was great!
But they've also had on Uwe Boll...
