Ahh, Jim Jarmusch. One of the masters of the quiet moment in films. Certainly a man with a unique cinematic style, and used the fractured time narrative almost 10 years before Tarantino with Mystery Train. What's your personal favorite?

Sometimes he's too quiet. He's very black and white for me, no gray areas. His films either bore the hell out of me, or intrigues me to no end Mystery Train was great. I love how everyone is connected, even if they don't realise it and that's the one I voted for.
Ghost Dog is also very high on my list.

I love Mystery Train and Dead Man, but I gotta give up for Ghost Dog. It's too cool for words.

I love the last episode of Night on Earth, the part in Finland...just great (the rest of the film not so much so)
I still have a lot of fondness for Stranger...

"Dead Man" is funny as hell.
Great Crispin Glover (always watchable) cameo at the start, too.

What, no Year Of The Horse? I agree. I just got a copy on DVD after seeing parts of it on IFC. Love it. A_Sr.

I like Mystery Train. A lot. Especially the first segment, with the Japanese tourists going to Graceland.

Ahh, ok. Yeah sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that Jarmusch was the very first director to use the device, just that he did it way before Tarantino. Tarantino gets way too much noteriety for using the device. But thanks for the fact of who did it first.
