Godo MADE me watch Ed Wood, and of course, I ended up loving it. And ya know, *scrounges thru DVDs*, Henry Selick directed A Nightmare, but the movie is based on characters and story created by TB. It was a honest mistake, Ro.
But good job f**ing up the poll.

I really liked the premise of Big Fish, and I loved the way it looked, but it got way too "Tuesdays with Morrie"-ish for me.
And I thought Mars Attacks was great.
Edward Scissorhands probably gets my vote just for the weirdness of the screwed up fairy tale factor.

I liked Mars Attacks but it's just too stupid, even for me. I thought that was the point of Mars Attacks...stupid just like 50's aliens comic books were. Whatever, though...I laughed a lot. But it's not like I'm gonna go buy it.

Mars Attacks could be edited down to a really good short. But just not enough to carry a feature length.

I like Ed Wood probably the best, but I also enjoyed Sleepy Hollow.

Had to go with Edward Scissorhands. That was NOT NORMAL or TOO NORMAL from the very beginning. Loved it!

I'm going to agree with those who claim that Nightmare Before Christmas is a Tim Burton film. I mean, he designed the characters, he drew the sketches for the artwork, he worked closely with Danny Elfman to make sure that the music was done right, he convinced the money folks at Disney to let the good folks at Disney make the movie, he produced it, he wrote for it....I mean, denying this to be a Tim Burton film would be like denying Douglas Adams his due for all the work he put into the Hitchhiker's movie. Nightmare simply wouldn't exist in much of any way at all without his work.
Having said that, I'd say either that, Big Fish, or Mars Attacks. Big Fish has the "partial reality" type of fairy tale that I always enjoy, with Mars Attacks being such a classic spoof of the sci-fi genre (and a great nod to a classic card series).

And Wynona was pretty hot as a blonde. Amen to Wynona, brother. As you probably figured out based on the Ms. comment earlier, I go with Ed Wood. But let me just say this about all Ed Wood movies. Why his movies mean so much to me is that somebody can have a screenfull of FREAKS & treat them with such love. It makes me feel like there might be a place for me in the world after all. ;D

Edward Scissorhands
Just because it spoke volumes to me -as a misunderstood, outsider, artist type- a work of art IMO.

I'd say "The Nightmare Before Christmas" even though he didn't direct it. Pee-wee's Big Adventure and Big Fish are good too. Hard to pick. I haven't seen anybody mention Frankenweenie and Vincent yet, but I guess we're sticking with feature length films.
