I promise I won't screw this poll up too.
Anyway in honor of the upcoming Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which pre-CATCF Burton film is the best?

I'm with you on Beetlejuice. Probablly the only thing from Michael Keaton I've ever liked.

Ed Wood is great. A lot of the early ones don't hold up for me. His Planet Of The Apes is unredeemable.

I'll say Mars Attacks is the worst of the group.

I absolutely love Ed Wood. It's one of my all-time favorites.
But Big Fish made me cry. And it will probably grow in meaning for me as my son grows up and my father grows old.
So I'm going with Big Fish.

I like most of Tim Burton's films, and while Beetlejuice is a close second, Ed Wood pretty much owns this poll.

Nightmare Before Christmas. So I voted other.
Ed Wood is fun, but I think Edward Scissorhands is a better movie.
Big Fish was Spielbergian cheese.

Nightmare Before Christmas. So I voted other. HE DIDNT DIRECT THAT ONE. Geez, I expect at least a few of you that are as big of movie geek as I am I knew someone was going to say that...but it's still a Burton film if not the most Burtonish film. (He designed everything and produced it too, I believe). And the poll didn't say anything about directing so I stand by my vote: Nightmare Before Christmas is the best Burton film. Heff-Matt screwed up....heh

"Ed Wood" is Burton's best film IMO.
"Karloff?! Sidekick?! F you!" LOL
He's done some great stuff, though "Planet of the Apes" was utter crap.
No love for "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure"? That's actually a really funny movie in my opinion.
"Be sure and tell 'em Large Marge sent you!"

It's a toss up between Mars Attacks and Ed Wood, but I think Ed Wood is Tim's masterpiece. I really think Martin Landau should have gotten the Oscar for his portayal of Bela Lugosi. That was one fine performance. The rest of the film wasn't bad either. I can watch it again and again.
