It looks kind of weird, like a fairy tale mixed M. Night Shyamalan movie. I've liked most of the movies I've seen Matt Damon in so far though so maybe it will be alright.

I like Terry Gilliam a lot. In fact I went out and bought nearly all his movies over the years. I got Fear and Loathing in las Vegas just last week. Anyway, his new movie is The Brother's Grim, and when I saw the posters, I was really excited, but then I saw the preivews - and it doesn't look so good.... I like Terry G's work a lot, too. Haven't seen the new trailer for "Brothers Grim" yet. Hope the film doesn't suck. The summer movies this year are pretty terrible (as usual), so I was really looking forward to his film.

Yeah, but the preivews look pretty bad. Then again, so did the trailers for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The trailers made it look like Beavis and Butthead or Dumb and Dumber, but it couldn't have been further from the truth. "Fear and Loathing" is great. My stepson just got into that film, and I loaned him a copy of Hunter Thompson's book, too.

Wow, I think this has been the best Summer Movie Season in quite a few years! And Terry Gilliam has yet to make a bad movie, IMO, so I'll definitely see this new one. (I'm happy that he's still able to get financing to make movies after the disastrous attempt to make his Don Quixote film.)

Good article on Gilliam, his oddities and visions, in this month's Premier magazine. Great mag. for all movie/director buffs.

Wow, I think this has been the best Summer Movie Season in quite a few years! I agree. I don't think there's been great movies, but nothing I've seen has been all THAT bad. Well, I shouldn't be so negative--given the fact that I haven't seen a single new movie at the theater this summer. The wife and I are going to see "Land of the Dead" at the Cheap Theater this week. Will also eventually see Brothers Grimm, the new Batman, Rob Zombie and probably even the new Willy Wonka (just to give it a look). I am wanting to see that new Herzog documentary about the guy who lived with grizzly bears and got killed by one. I like Herzog's old films "Aguirre: The Wrath of God," "Nosferatu" and even "Fitzcarraldo" a lot. Just curious, what did you guys really enjoy this summer at the cinema?

Batman: Begins was a pleasent surprise for me since I hadn't seen any of the other Batman movies and never was much of a Batman fan. War of the Worlds was decent but i didn't really enjoy it. I like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but it drug a bit at the end. That's all I've pretty much seen so far.

My wife won free tickets from the Alternative Radio Station we listen to, so we'll be checking it out on Thursday.

My wife won free tickets from the Alternative Radio Station we listen to, so we'll be checking it out on Thursday. Well, I had a work project Thursday night, so I didn't get to go. I wanted my wife to take my aunt, but she decided to stay home with me. I hate it when good tickets go to waste. Have read mixed reviews, but was really looking forward to the film.
