My favorites-
This Is Spinal Tap (of course) A Mighty Wind (folk music) Fear of a Black Hat (gangster rap- their white manager(s) keep getting hit by stray bullets, a la Tap's drummers) And God Spoke... (bible stories- Soupy Sales as Moses?) 24 Hour Party People (punk/new wave- fact-based, but still in the same vein)
Can anyone think of others?

There is a film called Man Bites Dog, a French film, which I have not seen, about a camera crew who follow a killer around. They slowly become involved in the killings. Supposed to be disturbing. Has anyone seen it? Is it worth watching?

*looks around for Sampo*
I hate This is Spinal Tap! Waiting for Guffman also enraged me. I just can't get into this kind of stuff. One that did make me giggle because I'm a huge horrible nerd was Comic Book: The Movie.

This is Spinal Tap is one of my favorite movies, but you have to watch it several times before it really hits you how great it is. It may be too subtle for some people (not that they're dumb or anything, I mean some dumb people may get it, and some smart people may NOT get it). It's a laugh riot.

I'm gonna give some love to Guffman. Fred Willard is the master of the improvisational style, and he's at his best here. The interplay between him and Catherine O'Hara in Guffman is a work of art. His roles are too sparse in the other Christopher Guest movies (Best in Show & Mighty Wind), and I think the films suffer for it.

I thought 'Waiting for Guffman' was awsome. Funny as all hell, because the play was just... dumb.
'Best in Show' is really funny, showing how crazy people are with dogs. I think this one works because we all sorta know people like that. The best part in that one is probably where the couple are freaking out because they didn't have their dog's favorite chew toy or some damn thing. Classic.
However, I do like 'This is Spinal Tap', out of the mocumentaries I've seen, the best.

24 Hour Party People (punk/new wave- fact-based, but still in the same vein) I don't think this counts as a mockumentary. True, 24-Hour Party People does break the 4th-wall every once in a while as the main character directly addresses the audience, but Ferris Bueller's Day Off did that too, and no one considers that movie a mockumentary.
