Like the "So you've been watching..." thread in the MST3K section of the board, this will allow you to talk about films you have seen recently and what you thought about them.
Recently, I saw, with a friend, the 1986 Emilio Estevez film WISDOM. It's the story of John Wisdom (Estevez), who, because of a felony for car theft on his record, cannot get work. After he sees a program on TV about poverty in America, he decides to become a criminal for the people. Traveling from bank to bank with his girlfriend Karen (Demi Moore), he destroys mortgage and loan documents to help people pay off their debts. I actually enjoyed it (even though the ending was a major cop-out, and reeked of "studio addition") despite some of the bad dialogue. Good performances all around, a cool Danny Elfman score, and a nice job for a first-time director (with aid from Robert Wise, who executive produced).
Also, I saw 1991's HUDSON HAWK. Even though the film was supposedly confusing, I couldn't bring myself to hate it, because the cast didn't take it seriously (as it was intended). I will back director Michael Lehmann in saying that the film is supposed to be a sly send-up of action films (though the point with the ambulance exploding before hitting anything still makes me wonder if that was a gag or the pyrotechnics were mistimed), with some laugh out loud moments (the heist of the Sforza, timed to Swinging on a Star, for one). If only the studio hadn't marketed it as a serious action film, it could have been a success.

We have a "So you've been watching 2" in Coleman Francis Mountain for the exact thing, actually. Good idea though!
