Is this movie a joke? I saw the plot synopsis and thought it was some weird action spoof. Turns out it's actually a real action movie. Sounds like something so dumb MST3K would turn it down.

I can't believe this film is taking itself seriously.
A friend told me Jackson was angry that they tried to change the name to Flight (some number) and insisted it be called Snakes on a Plane.

It wasn't Jackson that was angry. This film has developed something of a cult internet following (mostly because of it's title), so when New Line changed the title, there was a fan uproar.

Well, I have heard that Jackson refused to continue filming after they changed the name from Snakes On A Plane to Flight 121. But, either way, who gives a damn? It's freakin Samuel L. vs. a bunch of freakin' snakes..........................ON A PLANE!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is going to be my new favorite movie.

The people making this film are brilliant.
They made a film that is so stupid...that everybody is HAS to see it.

I think it could be great, however I am hoping that I am not completely fed up with the funny ( =cliche) internet references to it by August. I'm already up to here motions vaguely to shoulder-level
