Please don't search on-line to see whats being proposed or in production, but what movies or series do you think will be ripped off next? Then we can look back a year from now and see who guessed correctly. Like, who would have guessed Welcome Back Kotter?
I'll go first.

Or did you mean "re-make or TV adaptation"? Well, I know that there's a "Greatest American Hero" movie in the works....unfortunately, it's at Disney. They're probably just dumb enough to try to do a live-action movie of "Jonny Quest"...question is will they overload it with women hanging on Dr. Quest and Race Bannon to prove there's nothing going on there....or go "Brokeback Mountain"-ish? Then again, they didn't have the gonads to let Thelma give Daphne a lustful look in the first "Scooby-Doo" movie like they'd planned.

Duckman would rule. My bet is Transformers. I've seen something about that somewhere, but can't recall specifics.

Since they're remaking Sellers' movies, just remake Dr. Strangelove, starring Jim Carey.
I'll be waiting out back if anyone (Forrest?) wants to kill me.

What it should be:
Movie remake--"Westworld." With Clint Eastwood as the cowboy. Give it an R Rating with better special effects and maybe an orgy scene in the Romanworld (Romanworld was barely used at all in the old film). Could be very cool.
TV remake--"Harry O." With Harrison Ford as the beach bum private investigator, and John Malkovich as the analytical Lt. Trench.

Well, a Billy Jack remake has been talked about. Which I would like to see, because Billy Jack is a cheesey, preachy, enjoyable bad classic.
Of course, all attempts to remake it have stopped by the maniac who created it, Tom Laughlin, who wants to make a new Billy Jack movie. Problem is, he says the movie will have Billy Jack and Jean finally get married.
Dude, they are both pushing seventy. This is why they should just let the remake be made. It will have the same political edge, and hopefully be as corny, so why the hell not?
And get a real native american to play Billy Jack.

Kill me too. What it should be: Movie remake--"Westworld." With Clint Eastwood as the cowboy. Speaking of Harry O, what about a remake of Quincy? All-knowing medical examiners ignoring jurisdiction and solving crimes are terribly popular right now. What I wish would be made into a movie is Samurai Jack, but there's no hope.

Well they are already planning a "Westworld" remake. Along with "Logan's Run", "The Blob", and "Flash Gordon" remakes, so I don't really know. My 2 best guesses would be: 1. Yet another "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" remake 2. "The Last Starfighter"

I had always thought Slapshot would get a remake. Sure enough my dad announces for a hockey team in Toledo Ohio called The Toledo Storm and people form Miramax were at the sports arena and will probably do a lot of the filming there.

Merlin's shop of mystical wonders MASH actually seems like a viable candidate since movies with a lot of character roles or an ensemble cast can work well as remakes. Ocean's Eleven was an example of one where it was just fun to see "modern" takes on somewhat similar roles. (Not that Ocean's was an excellent movie, but it was entertaining for what it was.)

Strangelove is barely based on Red Alert, at least, it seems that way to me.
Regardless of whether or not they are remade, I've yet to see a remake surpass the original. Maybe I'm not watching the right remakes.
