Remake Hobgoblins. I'll be Road Rash! You know I'm pretty sure remaking Hobgoblins would violate some sort of law.

If you're going to remake something, remake The Creeping Terror or something. I know! Remake movies that can be improved upon, not classics that can't be topped--or dated concepts that just don't work anymore, no matter how they're tweaked.

Did anyone see the ads for another re-make of Posiden Adventure? Didn't they JUST have a re-make on network TV?

Oh Ernest Borgnine. I watched Escape From New York tonight and was almost brought to tears when Cabbie died.

1. They may make younger people interested in the original version, and if it's a classic, at least they'll discover that and perhaps it may lead them to see other "classics". Or they might see the remake and say "God, this sucks! I don't want to watch another version of it!" and then never give the classic a chance. I'm shallow. That's probably what I would do. Somebody else kind of already said it, but they should only make remakes to really crappy, terrible movies that might have something salvageable below the repugnant surface. Next time Michael Bay should admit to it though and actually buy the rights.

Yep, I have seen the previews for the re-make and also (don't hurt me) I watched the NBC remake last fall out of curiosity...Steve Guttenberg cheats on his wife and hooks up with a FAR more attractive masseuse...what?!?! And there's the annoying kid with the video camera...at least this was a little different than the original, instead of a tidal wave flipping the boat it's a bomb left by terrorists...but why? I don't even remember.
