Well, I see a Hitchcock thread, a Kubrick thread, so how about a Troma thread?
Troma films has brought us such great movies as The Toxic Avenger, Sgt Kabukiman, and Tromeo and Juliet.
It's the longest independent film company in existance. Interestingly enough, CEO Lloyd Kaufman idolizes Roger Corman. Roger Corman has the "Corman School" of famous actors and filmmakers who get their start from him. Including Francis Ford Coppola, Jack Nicholson, Peter Fonda, and Dennis Hopper.
Troma has "Troma Alumni" which includes rising Director Eli Roth, undeniably great Screentwriter and director James Gunn (SLiTHER, Scooby Doo, Dawn of the Dead remake) along with several actors who wish to sever there ties with the studio. It's also the studio that said no to casting Madonna. Why? She couldn't act.

Oh, god, yes!
It's better then the other three, thanks to Screenwriter Trent Haaga. Watch every deleted scene, because everything is funny.
Prepare to be offended. It's amazing.
Tito is the most awesome retarded character created since South Park's Timmy!

My favorite by far is Terror Firmer but I am a huge Troma fan and enjoy most of their stuff. If you pick up any of the dvds definitely check out the commentary and added features.

Yeah the Toxie series and Cannibal are great. Some of my other faves along with those and Terror Firmer are Tromeo and Juliet, Sgt. Kabukiman and the Class of Nuke-em High series.

I have a copy of Tromeo and Juliet on laserdisc and it rocks. I also liked a lot of the early Troma stuff they did before Toxic Avenger. The commentaries on those dvd's are really insightfull. Loyd Kaufman rocks.

Loyd Kaufman rocks. I haven't seen much of the pre Toxie stuff, thanks to the fact that I am unwilling to pay for the DVDs and you can't find them at most video stores.

They are more like nudie cuties than anything but not just nude women running around. They actually have plots and are pretty cool. I was watching a couple at my friends house a few weeks ago with the commentaries and like i said the commentaries are really good.

I went to their website yesterday and ordered 8 (vhs) movies for a buck each. The shipping cost more! TA4, Cannibal, and others I just guessed at. I just hope I didn't make a mistake in not getting DVDs (for the commentaries).
