Have to agree that this was a bit of a groundbreaker in its day. It really was an original concept at the time. It holds up very well for me, and I still laugh out loud at it even now. In fact, when I first rented it I was on a Woody Allen kick and only rented it because it had him on the cover...I had no idea what the movie was. I remember as soon as it was over I rewound it and watched it from start to finish all over again! (It's only like 80 minutes, so watching it twice took less time than watching AVATAR).
Oh, and the alternate version is a bit funnier, but there are really only 3 or 4 alternate lines. It isn't all that different.
Hard to believe that a fan of MST3K WOULDN'T like this movie, but there you go.
