The riffs about Chris Tucker should be good. But does anyone else think Mike is going to spend the rest of his life in the shadow of MST3K? I mean, by doing commentary for bad movies, and recording "riffs" for movies, it sure seems that way.

^ he's done other stuff. he's written a novel, he has like 3 picture books out, 2 movie review books. he, bill, and kev tried to stay together for the most part with film crew and timmybighands, but i guess he's just doing what he's been trained to do.
i say i'd rather have mike NEVER stopp riffing films than become some lamewad star on the next "War at Home" sitcom.

Well he seems to enjoy the work, and he's good at it. Honestly, I prefer his movie book over his Matters book. Hopefully he won't get too tired of it. I really just hope the man is happy.
This is a great choice! My dad adores this movie, for reasons unbeknownst to me. (I haven't seen the whole movie, though.) I'll definitely be putting together a "remixed" version of the movie with Sony Vegas. Can't wait.

I would hope that they wouldn't pass judgement on the whole concept with just one release. I would think that we would get a few before they decided to pull the plug if it doesn't take off. I wonder what the regular price is going to be since 1.99 for Road House is a "beta" price. Personally I would pay up to $10 for a track . With Road House (which I never saw the movie before) I was laughing my butt off! "PAIN DON'T HURT!" --Ian

I'd pay just for the End Credits riffing from Roadhouse. That was hilarious.
I hope it doesnt go up to $10 for a RiffTrack. IMHO I think thats too much. I'd hope it would be no more then $5.

The Fifth Element is one of my favorite movies. That being said, I have no problem with it being riffed. I loved Godzilla movies too, and the MST3K treatment makes it that much better!

Oh I wouldn't hope for that high of a price point either it is just what I would be willing to pay. $4.99 would be an ideal price point. If they offered a subsciption service for $20 a month and I got at least 5 riffs per month I would do that. --Ian

Oh sweet! I already have this DVD in my collection! If it's half as funny as Road House it will be worth it!

Maybe we should do a thread on movies we'd like to see on RiffTrax in the future.

Personally, I'd just buy the movie, then download a torrent of it in avi form, adding the rifftrax in Sony Vegas or Windows Movie Maker. Ripping it from the DVD is too much work for me, personally, unless there's an easy program that I'm just not aware of.

This is from another RIffTrax thread. I thought I'd post it here since people are starting to ask roughly the same thing... Another option is to make a smaller, more compressed version of this in AVI or WMV format...say around 700MB or so, that could be downloaded. It would really only look good played back on your computer, but hey maybe thats how you want to watch it?? It would look somthing like this: Test Clip
