You know, I wish this would snowball in popularity so that MST3K could be back on the air...I'm all for new episodes.

You know, I wish this would snowball in popularity so that MST3K could be back on the air...I'm all for new episodes. I doubt this will happen. Even if RiffTrax goes way beyond expectations, it comes down to money. They'd have to hire a bigger staff, create a set, buy rights to movies...etc. With Rifftrax they costs are small.

You know, I wish this would snowball in popularity so that MST3K could be back on the air...I'm all for new episodes. I actually like Rifftrax better. This way Mike can riff movies that he could never do on MST3K because of rights issues. Also, with Rifftrax he riffs the entire film. Again, if MST3K came back on the air that wouldn't be possible. Rifftrax might take more work on the viewers part but the payoff more than makes up for it.

Awesome. I'll definitely download this as soon as I can get a copy of the film.

Watching the Fifth Element, I couldn't help but feel something was missing. Hopefully Kevin will help fill that void. I'm glad that he's the one that came back. Nothing against Bill, but if I had to pick one of remaining two to join Mike, it'd be Kevin. Maybe Bill's not far behind.
Where is Kevin? Is he in California too? And Bill?

This is the best news in the whole damn world. True. Yet if it's Mike, Kevin AND Bill I'm getting a job to get those rifftrax and movies. You know what'd be interesting? Mike and Joel. New sample up too.

BTW, Satellite News reports that this new RiffTrax will be available on Friday. How come they can let MST3K.com know when it is going to go up but they can't put it on the site? Did everyone that purchased a Rifftrax get the e-mail to join the mailing list? Has anyone ever gotten anything from that list?? --Ian

I actually liked the Fifth Element RiffTrax better than the Roadhouse RiffTrax, because, to me, it felt more like an episode of MST3K than any of the previous commentaries that Mike had done, because of Disembaudio's participation in the commentary, which felt very much like the bots' participation on MST3K at times. I'm very excited to hear this new RiffTrax, because it seems that we're leading closer and closer to a full-blown recreation of the good ol' days. At least, that's where I think this is going.
