I liked this movie (it's usually derieded, but it was okay, and in reality was just an example of a studio taking too much control), but I'm really intrested in this. Will this be the first time a Best Brainer riffs a film already parodied by fans?

Confirm. Just downloaded it! BTW, its not updated in the "Catalog" yet. You have to order it off the main page. Also, there is a typo in the sync lines.txt I think after the 59:11 quote, there is supposed to be a 10 in front off all the other time codes.

I thought it was perhaps the best Rifftrax they've done so far. Kevin added a companionship to the commentary that the others lacked (Fifth Element tried with Disembaudio, I know, but I felt the results were mixed) and their running gags throughout were hilarious. The unexpected vitriol (or should that be "witriol"?) towards Chekov and his lousy accent was also a highlight. Best line for me? "Ka'Pla, fo' shizzle".

I also think that with at least two people writing for this RiffTrax, it helped out (I'm going to assume that its only Mike and Kevin that wrote for it and not anyone from Legend). Obviously, if they get more MST3K alumni to help with writing, the jokes are just going to keep getting better.

Just whipped it up today! All I gotta say is:
Praise be to the words of Rifftrax, Praise be to the dynamic duo of Mike and Kevin! Praise be to the ever-lovin, ever-hatin, ever reverberatin fighting words of Rifftrax! For Rifftrax is not one word but is all "words"! All words and a river to our people! Forever praise Rifftrax!
gimme a hallelujah!
(I liked it.)
