My wife actually wants to watch the Cocktail Rifftrax with me. This is great because she has never showed any intrest in MST3K or any of the other RiffTrax. But she is actualy excited about this one. I think its because she thinks Tom Cruise is a total F--K up, and she loves it when anyone bashes or makes fun of him. I remember she watched South Park ep 912 - Trapped in the Closet, just because it made fun of Tom Cruise. And she hates South Park too.

NetFlix just shipped Cocktail. I can't believe I'll have this on my permanent record.

NetFlix just shipped Cocktail. I can't believe I'll have this on my permanent record. My store didn't have any copies in for me to burn and I had to go to an actual human at Best Buy and buy a copy. I swear she snickered at me, when I bought it! --Ian

Jeez...and people complain about the boring movies they used to do on the show.
I think I'll go watch "Hamlet" a few times...at least I know Tom Cruise definately won't get a check for that.

Jeez...and people complain about the boring movies they used to do on the show. Yeah, I'm kind of having the same problem. I think I'm getting into the RiffTrax more for the chance to out them together on a DVD and learn something new than the actual trax themselves. One of the reasons I love MST3K is I love the old B movies. Roadhouse and Cocktail just don't move me in the same way.

There's also somthing to be said about not having the Host Segments and the Bots. They were a big part of the show. Not having them for variety can make a difference.
Although, I did really enjoyed Road House and Star Trek V. I also find them more enjoyable to watch if you can watch them with someone else who appreciates the riff humor.

I couldn't believe it, the dumpy video store that is nearest to me actually had a dusty DVD copy of Cocktail! Hot dog! I got it now and once I get my finances straightened out I will get the Rifftrax and see what Mike has to say about this one. I've never seen the movie, so it's going to be new all around. JoshWay has me worried. Is watching Cocktail a venial sin or a mortal sin? Will I be banging new nails in my coffin by having it? I'm skeert. Oh, no comment from the clerk this time. The guy was older than me. We did discuss the smell of mammoth during the midnight sun of summer on the tundra when we were younger. I was Bear clan and he was Fox clan. Those were the days! ;D

I also prefer the old B movies but I think RiffTrax greatly improves their chances of success by using more recent and mainstream movies.

JoshWay has me worried. Is watching Cocktail a venial sin or a mortal sin? Will I be banging new nails in my coffin by having it? I'm skeert. If it is a sin, I'm in double trouble: the NetFlix copy I received wouldn't play, so I actually had to go to Blockbuster, dust off my account and rent it there a second time. So not only is it on my permanent record, I look like Cocktail superfan #1!

c'mon, admit it...you're a Cocktail fan I agree that they need to use more mainstream movies. The other thing to keep in mind, is that they have to use movies that are easily accessable. And I don't think alot of the old B movies are easy to get now-a-days.

I never was into MST for the movies, so the flicks aint a problem for me. As with MST3K, I watch for the laughs I receive and Mike hasn't let me down yet. My review: Cocktail
