I'm always struggling to find the right volumes for the RT and the TV when watching a Rifftrack.
On MST3K it sometimes seemed (to me atleast) during the quiet moments of the riffing the movie's audio would pickup to fill the silence (or that the riffing was on a different channel and just came across louder than the movie.)
RT is more of a struggle, for me, since I've either got to find a balance between the computer's speakers and the TV or constantly adjust both.
So how do you guys do it?

My first five RiffTrax were loaded on my computer, and I didn't load them to CD, so I wound up watching the movies themselves on my tiny portable DVD player. While the screen is small, I enjoyed the sound mixture it provided in contrast to the RiffTrax, since my computer speakers made Mike and co crystal clear, and my DVD player made the sound a bit faint and drained.
The effect makes it seem not so different from an episode of MST, in which the crew's volume was more dominant than the volume of the film.
Now I download them to CDs to save room on my computer, and I watch the movies on my television with the CD playing on my portable DVD player, so the effect is opposite. I'm not really fond of it, but it saves my ass from sitting in my crappy computer chair.
