Does anybody have any insights as to what their criteria might be? It seems like the only consistent thing is the movie's availability.

Yes I can tell you the criteria..
"Do we think we can write a funny rifftrax for this, and is it available"
That's really about it.

Well. That link said pretty much the same thing that you said, didn't it?
I just remember Mike or Frank (or both) talking about finding the right kind of bad movie for MST. I wondered if there were similar concerns at Rifftrax. You know, like how seriously the movie takes itself or the amount of dialogue so that they aren't talking over the movie and such like.

Yeah, well I am sure that all still factors into it .
Oh and another would be "what the guest wants to do", that was true for Wonka and will be true again.
