Good work, BS. Did you hear a TV in the background? Maybe he was watching the tube while he burned discs. Did his mom come into the room while you were on the phone? I want to know it all! Well, I did hear Trace at the next desk crunching both numbers and Bugles, so it sounds like a legit office type organization ! The guy I spoke to ( damn me & my non name asking ! ) did sound like he was maybe 25 to 30 years old, which is why I wondered above if he was an intern or the Prez ! But he did sound like they knew what they were doin' ! Hmm, how can I use the word "sound" 6 more times ??

I really don't understand why they have to wait to ship.... makes very little sense. I really should've asked if they were still in production or what . . . darn !

The phone-number is right there on the site, No voice-mail system , a guy picked right up & he said there's been emails , but no one else had called to check on "the shipping status". I called yesterday (both numbers - the 800 number and the local MA number) and only got voice mail on the local number. (The 800 number's voice mail was full. Exiting the system.) That's excellent that you were able to talk to someone. He said that they intend to send out an announcement tomorrow night (1/4) that the orders they have should ship on Tuesday the 8th ! Sounds like they're on-target. Thanks for calling, BS.

Anybody wants to call now that I "opened a floodgate" , they can ask what I may have forgotten, like > "Why is it now going to be well over 2 weeks since we ordered, still crankin' `em out, OR WHAT ??" I played good cop with them, who's gonna' be bad ?

We should all volunteer to help them burn some dvds, maybe that will speed it up.

I played good cop with them, who's gonna' be bad ? I prefer to mix my Bad into my Good. Often as not, they don't quite figure it out. You got the answers to most of the questions I really thought they'd answer if I asked. (The one I didn't think would actually get an answer would be, "Why does it take an On-Demand Service two weeks to fulfill any of the initial demands?" I mean, really. Would you answer that question from me? )

But I was too busy being my sincerely nice & engaging self to veer into that kind of "more confrontational" sort'a realm . . . . I guess. ( Duh )

I really don't understand why they have to wait to ship.... makes very little sense. They're probably getting a shipping discount for mailing in bulk. Big corporations do that. Next time you recieve a promotional letter for a credit card, see if there is a stamp or postmark. If they're absent, they were mailed in bulk for 23 cents per letter or so.

Well hopefully it means we'll all be getting our DVDs at roughly the same time.

Absolutely !
Thanks there Cerrita , an important puzzle-piece that's hard to see from the perspective of anxious consumer. I know I tend to be just pacing back n' forth in the "What's Their Possible Problem ?!" realm.
But Cerrita , is that kind of bulk-mailing deal ever structured around a time-frame , meaning : "they're waiting for the next month's allotment period to kick in" ?
Cuz otherwise it's "well, why haven't they bulked out yet then ?!"

I am sure they are getting a discount but at what cost? I would rather have my customers be satisfied than save a few cents by mailing all orders at once. The orders have been coming in since the 22nd and they haven't sent out any orders yet? That is just silly.

Hey, saving 20 cents a letter adds up. You're saving $2000 if you mail 10,000 letters - if the order numbers we're seeing have been mainly for CT, that's not chump change for a small-time business.

Considering that as a company, they may have only been open on the 26th, 27th, 28th, 31st, 2nd and today, I'm willing to cut them a lot of slack.
Heck, my whole company had the 22nd thru the 2nd off.

Ok, Cerrita's off-line , so Bulk discount understood , but are they often keyed to a certain monthly allotment , and a time-period must be waited for ?
