I'd watch it, although it's another in my growing list of "why do this film when another in the same series is far more laughable and riffable".

I think there will be *lots* to make fun of with this one

This one scores with me because I actually own it. And I agree with CH – there are others in this series far more ready for a riffing – but this should be a good start.
If I do buy it, it will be my first Kevin and Bill only Rifftrax.

This should be great. Maybe this will lead them to doing the sequels, which I agree deserve riffing more than the original.

I'd watch it, although it's another in my growing list of "why do this film when another in the same series is far more laughable and riffable". The James Bond series being a perfect example of this. Almost every other Bond film is more deserving of riffing than Casino Royale.

Almost every other Bond film is more deserving of riffing than Casino Royale. I know I'm going off topic here, but yeah I think the unofficial "Never Say Never" would be perfect. Either that or That one with Christopher Walken..."View to a Kill"...yeah thats the one. Problem is Never Say Never is hard to find.

Problem is Never Say Never is hard to find. Those would both be worthy choices. Walken would definitely be one of the more riffable villians. I think the two silliest films in the series, Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker (both with Eegah's Richard Kiel) would also be very deserving. Especially Moonraker, where Bond goes into space!

I think this is another one I am going to have a bit of a problem listening to the Rifftrax for. I like this movie and I like Sirgorney Weaver even more. Lots of distractions that will cause me to tune out the Trax from time to time. We'll see how it goes.

You all do realize how boring this movie really is? It takes an hour just to get John Hurt in front of that egg. A half hour just to wake up out of cryo. And then there's the tired cliches from both Sci-Fi movies and slasher films.
Maybe some people are confusing this one with Aliens.
I will get this one though I hope that my DVD is usable. Quad Edition, Limited Edition, Special Edition, Collector's Edition. I got my copy the year I first got a DVD player in 1999 so it's just Alien.

I guess Mike felt guilty for not letting Kevin and Bill in for Predator, so he let them have Alien all to themselves. Leading up to Alien vs. Predator starring all three (or better yet, Requiem)? I hope so.
Very overrated film, and hopefully they can make something out of it.

Very overrated film, and hopefully they can make something out of it. Well, I have fond memories of this film and I have a sci-fi hating friend who thinks this is the only good sci-fi film he's ever seen (except for Planet of the Apes, which I actually believe is overrated). Then again, I remember thinking that Predator and Independence Day were good films when they first came out but my recent rifftrax viewings shattered those memories. Perhaps the same thing will happen here.

Ok, if it was going to be Alien: The Director's Cut then they shouldn't have said Alien. I'm not getting another DVD or renting one just to watch this. Too bad as I was planning to see it.
When is the next CT coming out? The 19th? Good.

I'm still plenty annoyed that I'm not allowed to buy CT simply because I don't reside on US soil...I know it's about copyright and isn't (technically speaking) the fault of Hodgson et al., but come on! Work this crap out BEFORE the first release so your fans can easily and legally obtain their copies...I really want to see CT but they haven't exactly made it easy, shees! Thank the non-existent god for RT ;D

Not a bad Rifftrax, but not a laugh fest either. I did appreciate the nod to the door sequence and hex field from MST3K in the riffing. Part of it could have been the ferocious thunderstorm that was going on outside my window while I was trying to listen to the Trax and watch the movie. It would have been better if I'd laid off the Trax and just watched the movie first since the setting was perfect for watching this movie unriffed. I'll try again later.
