I notice in the store that Oozing Skull looks like it comes with a case. Does anybody know this for sure one way or another? At the live show in February, they had cases and artwork to go with our already purchased dvds and they also were selling copies in the cases. The store is showing the same cases and artwork we got so I think you can rest assured it will come that way. They seem to have learned from the early misstep of the EZTakes shipping system. Maybe RAD can verify my info here. In future, I think it would be smart to offer the cover art and cases separately as well for the folks who prefer the download to DVD system.

Question for the downloaders. Can you burn it to DVD or is it only playable on your computer? DoctorZ, Trumpysmagicsnout is right, it is supposedly very easy to burn it to a DVD. There is a small software program that is either included or a free download that automates the process of transferring the movie file to a DVD. From everything I've heard, it's simple and painless. I intend to download a copy of Doomsday Machine today and burn it just so I have first-hand knowledge of how easy the process is and also to gauge download time. I didn't want to do it too early so I didn't add additional bogging down of the servers. Oh, and the software works on both Macs and Windows. I'll check it out and see how the process works. RAD Thanks RAD. I will ignore feeding the cats tonight when I get home from work and rush right to my computer and download the show! I can't wait! Uh. Oh. One of the 20, 000 entities living in my head is taking over! My. God. I think I'm getting ill! Yes. Yes. Must. Go. Home. Now! Download magnificent Riffing of CT! OK! OK! Teach friend and enemy alike the moral ABC of watching bad movies with riffing! Won't wait. Cats revenge will be slow and unpleasant. Will have to examine shoes before putting on for the next couple of days! Whew. That's better.

Call me crazy but I might pick up another copy just to get the case. At least it's supporting a good cause. And I can always use my spare as a "loaner" copy to try and get other people interested. ;D Edit: Or maybe not, just found the other thread that mentions the cover is downloadable at EZTakes.

Just logged in to download it and guess what? Their server(s) can't handle the demand and they had to take it off line. Will try later.

A poster on CT website called EZTakes while they were still open today and the person there confirmed they were only using one server! I know that's second hand info, but it would explain why it's so hard to get and in a reasonable amount of time. Considering the onslaught they had last time, you'd think they'd have been better prepared this time around. Bet the "powers that be" are ticked!

I now have a "Failed downloading DVD" status from EZtakes that hasn't changed for some time now. This happened seven hours into the download in what normally would have only taken less than four on my DSL line.
I guess from now on I'll have to wait to get the item a day or even a week later than the premeire.
edit:
Looks like its finally starting back up again.

Tried to download, but unfortunately got 89.4% complete and EZTakes took it down. If that's true about one server, did the popularity of MST3K escape them and the fact that MSTies tend to be web- and tech-savvy? Don't mean to get on a little company, and they're doing more things right than wrong, but if you are gonna make download an option, then be prepared. Sorry if that seems harsh, but I was really looking forward to seeing it after I got home from work.
ETA: Posted too soon. Fired up EZTakes Download Manager 15 mins. ago and dl resumed and is now seconds from finishing. So, I will have the download on the day of release. Way to go EZTakes.

It finally downloaded and I watched it.
Some funny riffs in this one, of course. The riffs at the beginning of the movie were best but it sorta petered out at the end. For obvious reasons once you watch the movie.
There was an actual, but short, explanation for why they're riffing at the beginning. Several MST3K references in this ep as well.
The movie itself was ponderous beyond belief. Like 2001 and Monster A Go Go combined, but perhaps more annoying. The tacked on meandering ending was pretty painful and the CT crew couldn't do much there at the end to make the dreariness on screen any less dreadful.

Maybe leave the reviewing and discussion about the thing itself for another thread? :x

I ordered mine yesterday (DVD) and today I got a shirt.
I didn't see that they had them until after I placed my DVD order.

You don't need to start all over again. Re-start your EZTakes Download Manager and it picks up where you left off.
