Wow, I live in Houston, but was raised in STL and all my family still lives there and I still have my Rams season tickets.
Well...... guess what? The Rams have a home game November 2nd, and the Family Arena (hockey arena.... big place) is about 4 miles from where I will be staying.
I am SOOOOOOO going!
;D

Where are you seeing that announcement? It's only about a third as far away as the Minneapolis one From their e-mail; "The Email Club Greetings, It's been very busy around here at Cinematic Titanic, but a good kind of busy. First off, we've been working on the new batch of shows for the fall and winter. As you may have heard: we're planning on settling into a delivery schedule of a new show every six weeks or so. Which means, we'll have our new offering "The Wasp Woman" available AUGUST 7th. Check out the trailer right here. And hey, if you haven't picked up our current release, "Cinematic Titanic's Doomsday Machine", head over to our store and check it out. This week we're shooting interviews for the much-anticipated Mystery Science Theater 20th anniversary box set. The producers at "Shout Factory" asked us to come to the shoot, "camera ready" and dressed as "we'd want our children and grandchildren to see us". So, I'm curious, how exactly do you pick out an outfit for something like that? And this weekend, Trace, Josh, Frank, Mary Jo and I will be traveling to San Diego to attend Comic-con on and do a special panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of MST3K. Which is also being taped for the 20th anniversary box set. It's going to feel like Christmas in July! I can't wait to watch Trace and Frank walk through the dealer's room together and cause some major MSTie frenzy! Please come by and say hello if you happen to be at the con. Also, we just booked an unbelievably great (and huge) venue for Cinematic Titanic Live in St. Louis called Family Arena on November 1st, which is exactly a week after our homecoming show in Minneapolis at the State Theatre on October 25th. Tickets will be on sale very soon. Tickets for the State Theatre are available here. Finally, I'm happy to announce some innovations to the website, recently it occurred to us that our site doesn't really explain what it is we're in the business of: which is selling feature length movie riffing DVDs and download to burn DVDs. So the new homepage will make that act much more direct for everyone. Check it! (soon to be live).

Thanks, hadn't seen that. I'm pretty torn, but I guess I'll keep my original plans and go to the October show.

It's much closer for me, I just might have to gather some friends and make the trek... I see you went to Emporia state..... and you are still able to write complete sentences! Just teasing there. We need to find a place where we all can meet up ahead of time.

It's actually farther for me, and the timing is during our busy season. I'll probably stick with the Minneapolis show.

CT commercials are starting to air in the area. I'd go if I weren't boycotting MetroTix and everything like it. Down with legalized scalping!

My buddies wife won a front row ticket.....and gave it to me! WOOT! Section B1 Row 1 Seat 1 first ticket! Pretty cool for someone not willing to pay for a ticket.....for reasons based on personal principles, of course.(Damn those legalized scalpers!) I bought mine the day they were available for advanced purchase, and the best I could get was 3rd row. Congrats! ;D BTW, wouldn't A1 be the section with the first ticket(in an alphabetical order)? Here's my order info: CINEMATIC TITANIC 01 NOV 2008 at 07:30pm FAMILY ARENA Price Type Price Level Qty Price Fee Cost ------------------------- ----------- --- -------- --------- ---------- MST3K PRESALE FLOOR 1 39.00 5.00 44.00 My ticket cost was $39.00. Metrotix fee was $5.00. They sent me a (printed) ticket via USPS. They had to employ people to do so, I find it far from legalized scalping. Not to mention they e-mailed me with my purchase info and seating. I feel I have knowledge in such matters(in concern with shipping costs, envelopes, and manpower involved), considering I work in the shipping dept. of the company I work for. I wouldn't normally have made a post like this, but I have issues with a poster complaining about the cost of a show, and then bragging about the seating they got for free. After they stated that they wouldn't support CineTit because of some supposed outrageous service fees that a ticket service charges ($5). And here is Metrotix policy on service charges: 8. I want to purchase tickets, but I don't want to pay the service charge. Is that possible? Sometimes--it depends on the venue. Tickets purchased at the box office of the venue usually are free of service charges. You will have to physically go to the box office, however. If your event is at a venue that does not have a regular box office, you may only be able to avoid the service charge by buying tickets on the night of the show at the door, in which case you may be paying a higher "day of show" ticket price. You may also find upon arrival that the show is sold out. The best way to find out box office information for your specific event is to call our call center at 314-534-1111 or 1-800-293-5949 and speak to an operator. They can determine for you that specific venue's box office policies. If you live in the area, there should be no problem with service charges. Sorry for the rant. That post just rubbed me the wrong way.

I bought mine the day they were available for advanced purchase, and the best I could get was 3rd row. Congrats! ;D BTW, wouldn't A1 be the section with the first ticket(in an alphabetical order)? I assumed B1 stood for base level 1, but if your ticket says c1 then I'd assume your right. Here's my order info: CINEMATIC TITANIC 01 NOV 2008 at 07:30pm FAMILY ARENA Price Type Price Level Qty Price Fee Cost ------------------------- ----------- --- -------- --------- ---------- MST3K PRESALE FLOOR 1 39.00 5.00 44.00 My ticket cost was $39.00. That post just rubbed me the wrong way. I guess you showed me.....And had the show not been Metrotix exclusive, I would have been the first in line. $34 is nothing, hell $39 dollars is nothing. In fact, scalping doesn't even bother me, but how is a service in control of 100% of the tickets, adding their own fee onto the price, and selling them to the public not scalping. If I were to sell this ticket right now for $40 I could be fined 50k in Illinois. Doesn't seem right to me.
