I'm sure quite a few of you already know about this, but just in case: The Rifftrax boys are competing in Quick Stop Entertainment's Masters of Song Fu #2, and the first round of voting is going to end tomorrow at midnight. They have called themselves The RiffTones, and their challenge was to write a song about the moon. I think what they came up with is pretty fun. Go to the website and vote for them! ;D

The song's fantastic! I've had it on my MP3 player for like a week and it really holds up as a piece of good music that happens to have funny lyrics (like the Flight Of The Concordes album).

Round Two is up. Paul and Storm have a pretty awesome entry, but as far as an actual dance goes...I'm doing the Ballpoint! Start voting!

We both just voted for it. These guys are absolutely incredible on so many levels. Great song, and nicely done. Vote now for the RiffTones' 'Do The Ballpoint'

I just went to Song Fu to vote on round two and it wouldn't let me vote. I didn't have any problems in round one, but now its giving my the voting results as if I already voted. Any ideas? I did send an email to them.

I just went to Song Fu to vote on round two and it wouldn't let me vote. I didn't have any problems in round one, but now its giving my the voting results as if I already voted. Any ideas? I did send an email to them. It seems a lot of people had issues in the first round with voting. Some people couldn't vote at all and could only see the results, whereas I could vote but then got the screen that let me think I could vote again, scold me for trying to cheat, and would never show me the results! But hopefully an email will straighten that out. If not try using a different computer. Go to the public library and use their computers if you have to just so you can vote! THEY MUST WIN!!! Seriously these guys should make an album! Well, if they don't make an album, I'll make one for them by putting them all on my iPod. In fact, I think I'll make a whole Song Fu album featuring all the songs I like! Whip out your ballpoints people! ;D

I never got a response from the Song Fu folks, but today when I went to the site I was able to vote. Right now the Rifftones are kicking rear. Keeps those votes coming.

Just voted for the guys - I didn't hear about this until it was too late to vote for their moon song. Love the clicking in the background!

Round Three is up! This time the boys had to write a country song using their own backstory called The Ballad of Rufus Amos Adams. And lemme tell, ya, this one is a real beauty! Right now the Rifftones are wiping the floor with Paul and Storm...let's keep it that way by voting for them!

I'm with you on this one, Queen - our guys definitely had the best entry this go around. They're getting my vote for sure. I liked the idea of Paul and Storm's "Ballad" being about the most normal, boring man they could think of, but only one point of humor could take it so far. The Rifftones' entry, however, definitely had a lot of different things to take from it, so it was an easy choice this time for me. UNLIKE last round....where I honestly laughed a bit more at "Me Make Fire" then "Do the Ballpoint"...... (Don't hurt me!)

Wow. That's all I have to say.
Well, that and if someone can figure out the lyrics, I would love them forever... all that countrified hootin' and a-hollerin' makes it hard for me to figure out what they're singing...
