Syphillis? I'm already terrified....

This is a short I would watch purely based on the description they sent out with it.

I gotta say I'm very grossed out by syphilitic Mike and Kevin in that poster... ;D But anyway, I bought it and watched it. Not their absolute best work, but it was funny. The "comedic" accordion drop after the guy had been told his baby was dead was priceless though. It was in such poor taste that I couldn't help but laugh.

Posted my thoughts... Know For SureI agree it's not their best but there's still a lot of funny and it's a very interesting short, considering it was directed by a 2 time Oscar winner and had Ward Bond in a cameo.

I had a hard time laughing at this one. Maybe subsequent viewings will improve this short's standing with me, but for now it rates pretty low..

I had trouble understanding the short's dialog. Those fake Italian accents were tough.

Second viewing didn't help much. Perhaps it's the dead baby (though off-screen) and the attempted suicide in the beginning and the relatively boring characters thereafter...meh! I liked the previous couple shorts much better. Shorts are meant to be silly fun...this just struck me as too dark to riff on...squeeze box or no squeeze box.

I enjoyed the riffing, but the stereotypical Italian accents cracked me up even more. I kept expecting the storekeeper to announce that he was selling "tootsy fruitsy ice cream."
