I had to order the DVD, so I'll post a review on my website as soon as it arrives. I've never watched the Mike Solo version. I wonder if I should watch it first or not? I'd watch the RiffTrax version first. The original commentary is very differently paced, it will probably be more interesting to check it out after the fact.

I was a bit disappointed in this one. If it hadn't been claimed in the rifftrax forum that this was "vastly" different from the Mike solo, I wouldn't have gone in expecting "vastly" new material. My rough estimate would have the new material accounting for around only ten percent. Not my idea of new. But it was good for some laughs, and what was new was funny. I seem to remember that Plan 9 had a much higher percentage of new lines when MKB revisited it. Still, as others have said...not bad. 7/10 Only ten percent? That would mean only six minutes of new material. That's about right. That's what it felt like. I'm quite familiar with the solo version, and it seemed like only a smattering of new lines were dispersed over rehashed lines. But we could have this speculative argument until we're blue in the face. One of us needs to come up with actual numbers...which I'm willing to do.

I would strongly discourage you from taking that much time to figure it out, but having worked on the project, I can vouch that there's much more new content in the Reefer track.

It wouldn't take me that long. And I'm getting more and more curious about this.

Well, if you really wanna do it, I'll bet you a ten dollar RiffTrax gift certificate that more than 10 percent of the riffs are new. If you're right, I'll buy it for you, if I'm right, you buy it for someone on this board.
How about it?
PS. I still strongly discourage spending this much time analyzing a riff, it can only serve to make you enjoy it less.

Take note everyone: Reefer encourages gambling.

Okay, I was quite a bit off...based on the first twenty minutes about two-thirds of the lines are new. I'll shut up now.

No problem, glad we could straighten that out!
Here's a gift certificate code anyways, for a free riff, for the first person to grab it:

Reefer encourages irresponsible generosity.
