Jumper. Lord, I didn't expect the out of nowhere suckfest that we wound up with. Really? With Hayden Christensen in it and everything? I would list this one, but my mom and sister paid for that one, so even though I felt like a wasted two hours, at least it wasn't my money. God where to begin... Battlefield Earth, The Cell, Unbreakable, Hardware, Color of Night, On Deadly Ground, The Avengers, Halloween 6, the list is too painful to recount. Okay get this: I saw The Avengers in the theater four times. Maybe I shouldn't be proud of that, but for some reason I just love the crap outta that movie. The fact that I was young and it had Ralph Feinnes in a bowler hat probably had something to do with it though. ;D Blues Brothers 2000...not surprisingly, me and my friend were the only people in the theatre for the showing... Again, another kinda crappy movie that I love. I wasn't born yet when the first one came out, but I loved it so much that I was absolutely beside myself with happiness when they came out with another one. It doesn't reach the magic of the original by any stretch, but my absolute excitement over seeing that movie made me overlook it's flaws. And my audience was pretty responsive. I had a great time. I find that if it's a movie that I'm really excited about seeing beforehand, very little can actually taint my enthusiasm. Like the Star Wars prequels (minus the second one, that hurt). I was so psyched to have a Star Wars for my generation that I didn't care if they weren't as good. Maybe I'm just an easily entertained simpleton. But to the topic at hand! The Village. M. Night has made quite a few appearances on this thread, but I sat through this whole movie expecting some world-altering twist, and it was completely lame. On top of that, we didn't even get a damn ending! How are you gonna have her go on that entire journey for medicine and then not tell us if it saves her boyfriend? Man, I was so upset. Judging by the fact that the other theater patrons threw popcorn at the screen at the end and booed loudly, I think they were too. ;D

I honestly didn't know it had Christensen in it until I was in the theater. I didn't notice him during the trailers. Then I got there and all of a sudden "Is that Darth BoyToy?"

I had a guy take me to two movies-"My Favorite Martian" and "The Matrix".
First off, a lot of people like "The Matrix". I do not. Period.
Second, as one can tell, that relationship was DOOMED. I nearly told him after the second flick that I would have rather read a book at home. Or shoved sharp things into Keanu Reeves' eyes.

The Day the Earth Stood Still remake. Pretty horrible stuff right there. I like both Reeves and Connelly, but they couldn't do anything to save that awful script.
The second Pirates movie...eugh. It started off great, then turned incredibly insipid.
Oh and the Matrix Revolutions. Do I really need to explain?
Jumper was also somewhat lame, but in a weird way, I enjoyed it. At least it was original, and fairly competently directed by Doug Liman.

Isn't it fun to see misties complaining about talking over the movies?
I saw Knowing a few weeks ago because my 12 year old son wanted to see it. When a 12 year old Nick Cage fanatic is telling me weeks later that it was the worst movie he ever saw, it tells me something. Typically it starts poorly but with some potential and went downhill quickly.

Sphere. 1998
Went into this one on opening day with high hopes. I enjoyed the first 1/3 of this film.. And then things went down hill really fast. Great premise poorly executed.

Clean Slate starring Dana Carvey. If I hadn't been with a group of people (or if I wouldn't have needed a ride home afterwards) I would have left the theater after about 10 minutes. I remember sitting there after about a half hour, realized I probably still had another hour before it was over, and finally TRULY understood the meaning of the word "despair". The same thing happened to me, but with The Master of Disguise. I still think that Dana Carvey can be very funny, and at the time was so looking forward to his triumphant return. Well I am still waiting.

the first one that came to mind was that godawful quigley down under. i kept telling myself i was going to walk out, but i though maybe something - anything - might happen, so i stuck it out. nothing ever did. i was the first one out of the theater when it ended.
jimmy neutron: boy genius - i went to see that piece of crap with my family, since my two young nephews wanted to see it. i was game, because i know kid movies nowadays can be just as entertaining for adults. not this one. i was in the pissiest mood ever by the time it was over. if it hadn't been for the family, i would have walked out after the first 15 minutes. at one point, my brother-in-law turned to my sister sitting next to me, and in a very bored voice said, "well, do you want to make out or something?" it was the only time i laughed.
pirates of the caribbean II - i enjoyed the first one and i have it on dvd, so my expectations were high for the second one. man, was i disappointed. i thought it sucked. i couldn't keep up with the plot and thought - well, i'll just look at johnny depp, but after awhile even that got old. i thought the third one was even worse.
indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull - i've always liked this series, and i had waited impatiently for this one to come out for a long time. but it was so lame. so lame. adding shia labeouf was just insult to injury.

Somehow, when I was 14 or 15, I went to a theater and watched Johnny Dangerously on purpose. I blame Eddie Murphy's coattails, I guess (he had them in the '80s).

I got dragged to see the "Amityville Horror" remake and, despite the fact that I didn't want to see it, I still had to pay for my own and my girlfriend's tickets. However, I felt slightly vindicated when an usher told me to keep it down because I was laughing so hard.

Twilight. Wasn't my idea, thank goodness. I hope to buy the Rifftrax for it one day.
