Anyone remember X-Com from a decade or so ago? A bunch of fans made a free[/b] remake of it called UFO: Alien Invasion. It's the same game but redone with all kinds of more modern gaming touches. I say check it out.

Yeah, I remember X-Com. Never quite got it.
Anyway, I've always loved Ocarina and always will, but some things about just bug me to no end. In fact, I can sum it up in 4 words.
Navi and Kaepora Gaebora.
Those two are the most annoying characters in Zelda history. "Hey! Look! Listen!" will make you want to tear off Navi's wings and kick her across Hyrule. It makes me appreciate Midna that much more. And Gaebora, man is he annoying. He never quits talking and his text scrolls so slowly it drives me nuts.
On the other hand, Nabooru is in the game.

Plus, a lot of the time, Gaebora's text defaults to "No, I did not understand the last ten minutes of what you said" so if you're in a hurry, you can often press that by mistake.

I'm playing NHL 2003 because I haven't played it in a long time and have gotten myself to the Stanley Cup Finals as the Detriot Red Wings. I'll be playing the Rangers.

Yeah, I've been slowly working through NHL 2K6 in Franchise mode, as the Flyers. I don't know whether the game is really easy or if I'm just really good, but I have it on the highest difficulty setting and I'm still kicking butt in it. It's rather annoying. I keep having to tweak the specific AI settings.

Well, I just got done with the Fire Temple in OoT. A fine temple, but if can be annoying.
Unfortunatly, I've got the Water Temple next. The...hardest...temple...ever. I'll be tearing my hair out before I'm done with it. Can't wait to take on Dark Link though. I have three of them in my avatar.

I dunno, after Majora's Mask, the Water Temple isn't the worst one ever. There's always that one key I forget in the basement, so it's more of a "wander for hours" dungeon than a puzzler. Oh, and Dark Link is pretty darn cool.
I'm still trying to find time to beat the Master Quest edition of OoT. The first kiddie dungeon killed me a few times, but the second was easier. That's as far as I've had time to do in a month.

Geez, I'm going to have to pick up Master Quest sometime. Sounds like a fine challenge. I define "hard" as annoying, if you have to change water levels, then you've immediatly got an annoying little nut to crack.

For FF players-what's your favorite? I have always been oddly addicted to IX. Final Fantasy IX is actually my favorite in the series. I've always been really fond of VI as well, but I think that's a much more widely shared opinion.

Playing the classic SNES game Tales of Phantasia right now. Check it out if you got an emulator. Great gameplay.
