I love Earl and am shocked to hear it is being canceled. I think this season has been excellent.
One less reason to care about the continued existence of NBC. Just put Leno during all of prime time. That should be cheap enough to produce.

Welcome to the club, Sky. The more Earl supporters the better! Here's a link of series creator Greg Garcia's reaction to the cancelation.I especially like this quote: "If that's how they're running their network, good luck to them. I don't believe that for one second, but if that's true, if that's how they're deciding what shows to pick up, wow. It's hard to be too upset about being thrown off the Titanic."

Sounds like a solid deal is still a ways off, but it's good to hear they're at least interested. I'll be tuning in to TBS if they pick it up, that's for sure.

CS updated, with 20th Century Fox's statement that negotiations with TBS are now terminated, citing "artistic integrety." Most likely meaning the budget wasn't as high as they needed it to be.
Earl is now officially dead. (unless ABC jumps in and saves the day, which appears unlikely)

Dang it, Torgo, you keep giving us hope and then you dash it. I still can't believe Earl won't be in next year's Thursday night lineup for NBC. I had finally found a routine with Thursday nights again.

You think I like delivering this news? I'm as depressed as the rest of you. Sigh. Everyone describes a popular television show's ending as losing your best friends. I've never felt that...until Earl. I don't want them to go, and I especially don't want them to go like this. I hope they pull a Firefly, and to a final movie (direct to video most likely) to give a proper closing to the series. I personally don't feel Earl would work as a movie, but it looks as if that would be our only chance.

Actually, a 90-minute straight-to-DVD movie might not be bad at all. If nothing else to let them go out on their own terms. As a one-shot it they might be able to command a good-enough budget to keep its quality as high as it was on NBC. It's not ideal, that's for sure, but I'd take it.
I'm still counting myself a member of the Army of Earl. I'll follow wherever they go.

My TV is on NBC now and I should be enjoying Earl right now. But some crap called I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! is on instead. Sad.

The 4th season came out on DVD a few weeks ago. I bought it first day...and still haven't opened it. Everytime I try...I just get really sad.
