I'm going with 99.99% perfection. I love that they're doing crappy movies like The Room, new movies like Twilight, old(ish) blockbusters like Jaws, and especially I love that they're keeping on with the shorts.
The tiny change I'd make would be to see more '70s shorts. Not just ones that were produced in the '70s, but the kind that ARE the '70s, like If Mirrors Could Speak and One Got Fat (or Progress Island, from the MST days). They've done a few but I'd like to see a string of them. I'd also like for guest riffers to join Mike, Kevin AND Bill, even if they had to charge another dollar or two.
Here's a recap of Rifftrax 2009 releases so far (I include Star Wars IV because it was released right about the new year): Star Wars IV: A New Hope (30 Dec) then the 3-riffer editions of Reefer Madness, Little Shop, House on Haunted Hill, NotLD, Missile to the Moon, Carnival of Souls, and Swing Parade, then Jaws (24 Feb) Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back (14 Apr) Twilight (21 Apr) Planet of Dinosaurs (20 May) Casablanca (02 Jun) Voodoo Man (10 Jun) The Room (18 Jun) Red Dawn (02 Jul)
And here are the shorts: Shy Guy Self-Conscious Guy Overcoming Fear Playing Together How Much Affection? Your Chance to Live Understanding Your Ideals As We Like It Going Steady Carnivorous Plants You and Your Family Primary Safety Damaged Good Cooking Terms What About Juvenile Delinquency? Snap Out of It Toward Emotional Maturity Alcohol Trigger Films

I wouldn't call it perfect, the mix of flicks is good but I'm more interested in the comedy aspects. I've been disappointed in the laugh factor on some of the shorts, didn't think Star Wars new hope was funny in the least (but I'd put that in 2008 myself) - The re-do's got progressively better, Planet of Dinos was fair.
Twilight and Voodoo were genius. The rest are good to very good.
It has been a good year, not perfect though.

there's still a lot i need to catch up on with my rifftrax viewing. thankfully, a pal of mine has enabled me to see as many as i have, but i still have more to go. maybe i'm just easy to please, but i have loved the ones i've seen so far. i tend to not to want to watch most guest riffers. being a purist, i prefer mike, kevin and bill. the exceptions have been the brilliantly funny fred willard and al yankovic. i must admit, i am looking forward to seeing how joel mchale does in red dawn. i would be more receptive to a guest riffer if all the guys were involved. it would be worth the cost.
and i am glad to know they have done some more older movies. the newer ones are always good, but i will always be a sucker for the cheesier old movies. and bring on the shorts - the more the better.

Well, the four I've seen (Twilight, Planet of Dinosaurs, Voodoo Man, and The Room) would all vie for some of my top spots. That, in addition to the fact that two (or three, if you count The Room) were far more in the vein of classic MST3k films, makes this a great year.

I like the mix of movies and almost all the riffs are top-notch.
