Hi, I've always been fascinated by the blue screen process though it is a relatively simple trick. The silhouette setup for MST3k always intrigued me. Anyway, I was just curious if anyone knows how to achieve this trick at home using store bought DVD's such as It's A wonderful Life. I have a general idea of how the actual blue screen process works and I know you have to have a monitor in front of you. But is there special software you need in order to make a store bought DVD editable? Anyway, I know this would not exactly be legal but me and my friends want to do it just for fun and we have no intention of distributing it. I always thought it would be cool if MST3k riffed on a classic movie (Of course I know aquiring the rights would be impossible.) Anyway, If anyone has any input I'd appreciate it.

Try Rifftrax, they've done a few classic and many not-so classic movies. Plus there's iRiffs which you could do. No blue screen actually needed!

Why am I listed as an anteater? Is this by any chance a reference to Overdrawn at The Memory Bank?

I have my brother and myself just riff a movie that sucks.
What I might just do is have a tape recorder and tape the comments that we use and find out what works and what doesn't.
I'd like to make-up a Midnight Movie Show anyhow which not only riffs a bad movie, but it has sketches and music videos just like a TV show that came on my city called Big Chuck and Lil' John.
