Available October 29A quite awesome choice, in my opinion. Great way to honor the victims. The victims who were forced to see it in theaters, that is.

I've been waiting for this since I saw the Comicon interview from the 20th anniversary set. Can't wait, I hope it'll be on VOD since I don't own the movie.

Cool, I've always been curious to see the movie, and this will give me a good way to do so!

Funny how the tide has turned for this film. It was such a product of its time and today, like Ghost, nobody seems to like it any more.
I love the little snippest of riffing MST3K did with this on their movie special, and looking forward to hearing what they come up with for the entire thing.

In the "Rifftrax - I just finished watching" thread, I posted my feelings on the Rifftrax experience after my review of the Voodoo Man and Planet of Dinosaurs DVDs I recently received and watched... to sum it up, I prefer the classic cheese to the big budgeted new cheese. That being said, Titanic desperately needs the Rifftrax treatment, and I'm glad they are finally giving the fans what they truly want. No movie in the history of film has deserved a good Rifftrax thrashing than this cinematic turd on a stick. I will definitely be buying this...
...and for the record, I hated this movie from day one. I still to this day do not get what the flying $#%@ the big deal was with this movie and I can't believe that society sat down, watched this movie, and walked away saying, "That was a fine cinematic experience." My faith in mankind died that day. I didn't understand it then, and I don't understand it now! It is so poorly acted, the effects even for the time--which were suppose to be such a selling point--are laughable (though I do laugh hard when the flailing people are bouncing off the railing as they plummet to their demise), and it is horribly written. I mean, the dialogue is cornier than a Bert I. Gordon movie! Sure... this movie clearly deserves the damn academy award. While your at it, give Rob Schneider the golden statuette for Deuce Bigalow... To its credit, this movie has some of the greatest unintentional laughs that have ever been put to the silver screen. Had it been presented as I comedy, I would have different feelings... Did I mention I hate this movie with a red hot passion? Just wanted to make that clear.

Wow, sirhamhat. I agree that it'll make a great Rifftrax, but... wow. Comparable to Deuce Bigalow and cornier than Bert I. Gordon? And I haven't seen the whole thing but I remember the special effects seemed kind of impressive--especially compared to today's superhero movies.
It'll definitely make an epic Rifftrax, and I hope it's a big seller for them.

It literally makes me angry when people like this movie... and you wouldn't want to see me when I'm angry.

I've made it through 70 minutes so far, and while the riffing ranges back and forth between funny and hilarious, the movie is just SLOW. I thought Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio were good actors, but Leo's been bland at best, and Kate's been pretty awful. I've enjoyed the riffing so far, but I'm having a hard time mustering the effort to continue the movie.
