Lots of online games have some sort of Halloween event that they pull out for a few weeks every October/November. I always enjoy seeing them. If I ever start playing World of Warcraft, you can bet that it'll be because I want to tangle with their take on the Headless Horseman.
The one I have the most experience with is the Halloween event for City of Heroes. At first it started on the small scale with special monsters attacking (or special temporary powers/rewards being given) by clicking on the various doors in the game, along with some spooky monsters showing up here and there (Eochai, Pumpkin King of the Fir Bolg, is always a treat.) Last year, though, they added an occasional "Zombie Attack" with the sky turning red and zombies crawling out everywhere that a player can be found. And this year they've added an "Apocalypse" event, a big timed thing where eldritch banners have risen and drawn monsters with them to different parts of the city, all needing to be taken down at once.
Any other big Halloween events that you enjoy out there?

Is there anything hot about the Halloween event in 2022, everyone? I concerns this problem very much.
