I would like to experiment in converting my eps I have on VHS to VCDs to play on my DVD player..
I have a Mac and I DO NOT have a DVD burner
I am using iMovie to make Quicktime files...
what do I do next? What software d I need? Any shareware out there?
Help greatly appreciated

To make VCD's, you need to convert your files to mpeg format. I don't have much knowledge when it comes to Mac's, so I'm not sure what works on your machine, but I use Tmpgenc to make the proper mpeg files and Nero Burning Rom to convert said mpg into VCD format. You could try here for your freeware needs.

Also check out www.vcdhelp.com Click on tools there should be a bunch of freeware (codecs, converters etc.) there. Also read all the old posts on vcd help's message board.I always used a program called Tmpgenc (I think thats how its spelled) but im not sure if it works with Mac.

Besides TMPGEnc, and Virtualdub(for avi files) I use VCDeasy. It's a great free program that allows you to add chapters and various other "niceties" to your vcds. Also VCDGear(also free) is a good program to fix/modify your mpegs. By the way, I use a pc, not mac.
