That's too bad. I thought it would have been cool to see a cameo of her during Betty White's SNL performance. Didn't think she'd be moving on so quickly.
Rest well, ma'am.
Well anyway, hi there, folks. You know, I'd been having trouble with velvet leaf, uh, cutworm and, uh, foxtail and, well, that's when the representative from Monsanto came out to my farm. He recommended a pre-emergent, inferral mixture of Lorsban with Atrazine in a tank mix and I told him to get off my land. - Farmer Joel
yes, i thought it would have been great if she had made an appearance on SNL with betty white. she was a memorable actress with an amazing life, according to her obituary. poor betty - the last golden girl.

Estelle Getty in 2008. Bea Arthur in 2009. Rue McClanahan in 2010. Dammit, 2011, leave Betty White alone! In all seriousness, I'm sad to hear about this. I love The Golden Girls. RIP, Blanche; you gave me many hours of laughter.
It was sad to hear. I remember Golden Girls in prime time from my childhood and it's been sad to see three of them go in the last three years. I almost cried when I watched an interview reunion with Bea, Betty, and Rue and they talked about Estelle Getty and how her mind wasn't very sharp anymore, even back then.
I was never a big fan of the Golden Girls but I'm a huge Maude fan and Rue was great in that. Rue and Bea had such great chemistry. Just last night I happened to watch a Maude ep which was about Vivian and Arthur, hilarious stuff. She was also in that classic All in the Family episode about the swingers. Thanks for all the laughs, Rue.
