I miss the good old days when TV shows had hosts. So here's a thread dedicated to the greatest hosts of all. Some we all know, a few we might not be aware of (for example, Roald Dahl hosted two anthology series, including "Way Out" in 1961). Some were serious (Alistair Cooke for Masterpiece Theatre) and some are fake (SCTVs Count Floyd) Obviously we have the gang at MST, who will always be near and dear to our hearts. Joel or Mike and their robot pals, but let us not forget the Mads who tormented them, to our delight. Apart from them I liked the unseen Control Voice from the Outer Limits. That delivery was calm, yet held a hint of menace as he took control of our TV and offered up urgent lessons and warnings to open and close an episode. The best for me was Alfred Hitchcock. Even if an episode fell on the weak side the show scored a win for Alfred's dry, dark wit. Good Evening indeed. Of course I'm skipping a lot here (one huge name in particular), but I thought I'd give others a shot at sharing first. Who were some of TVs (and lets include Radio for the fun of it) greatest hosts, and why?

Robert Stack, Rod Serling and Walt Disney.
Need I say more?
