I've seen a few "Hot and Ready Burgers" around the midwest. I can't decide whether that or "In-N-Out Burger" is a less appropriate name for food. I remember when lots of people thought they were being cute by taking In-N-Out Burger bumper stickers, cutting out the "B" and "R", and sticking on their car. Get it? Thankfully, I haven't seen that in awhile. But I am a fan of In-N-Out Burgers, being from California as I am. I actually loathe most fast food joints as a rule, but I make the occasional exception for a good ol' Double-Double with fries.

the sack of fries Five Guys gives is incredible! it's like a bottomless pit! I just found out about Five Guys a couple of weeks ago. I want to find one near me. I really want to try Fuddruckers too. I'd much rather get something from IN-N-Out than anything else these days.

A Sonic's just opened up in the same town, too. Their food is so-so, but the fact that they have car hops is one heck of a novelty. And I think it's the only Sonic's in New York. Just wait until you're drunk and get a Fritos Chili Cheese Pie. You will then know God. Fuddruckers is decent. Get the ostrich burger. It rocks.

Eh, I'm not really a fan of In-N-Out. Five Guys' fries are disgusting, or it might just be the one near me.
Just give me a Whataburger and I'm good to go. Sonic's more of a drinks place than a food place, unless you're trashed.

Somehow, In-N-Out never really grabbed me, though I do admire their business model. But who am I question Guy Savoy, who said their burgers were one of the best thing he ever tasted?
I don't mind a trip to BK, Jack in the Box, or Carl's Jr. I've sworn off McDonald's though.

When I was a kid (says the resident nostalgic gramma on the board), the trip forty miles to a Steak 'n' Shake was a big deal.

I love Steak n Shake. The only problem is the closest one is 4 hrs away.

I find myself, as a lover of the burger, intrigued. I want this, is this anywhere close to philly?

Walter Sobchak: He lives in North Hollywood on Radford, near the In-and-Out Burger... The Dude: The In-and-Out Burger is on Camrose. Walter Sobchak: Near the In-and-Out Burger... Donny: Those are good burgers, Walter. Walter Sobchak: Shut the f*ck up, Donny. No In And Out for me either. We have Five Guys, and I would take that over your run of the mill fast food any day. But we do have Hi Boy! Best onion rings and burgers in town. www.hiboydrivein.com/

oh man, those were the days when I could eat good onion rings. (Enjoy your young tummies while you still have them, kids! Shovel in those fries and onion rings! A day may well come when you can't have a one.) There was this restaurant in the next city over...the first fat onion rings I ever saw (wipes away a tear). People seemed to laugh more then. There were concerts in the park....

Hmmm. There's a Steak-N-Shake right down the road from me, but I've never stopped in.
Yet.
