First off, apologies if this subject is taboo; I searched the Rules and ToS Board and didn't see anything forbidding it. So no worries if it needs to be moved, deleted, etc.
I have a fully working Servo and I want to complete the pair, so I've been looking to purchase an already-assembled Crow 'bot for a few years now. I'm starting to worry that the more time that passes, the less likely I'll be able to find one. I e-mailed "joecrow" at joecrow.com but I guess the site is defunct because he never responded. I also would really like to find one with the more yellow-ish paint rather than the goldish hue that he seemed to take on during the Sci-Fi channel years (I love Mike and the Sci-Fi years but I grew up watching the show on CC).
My Servo is constructed from molded parts rather than the real traditional pieces (barrel bank, etc.), so I don't mind if Crow is the same way. As long as he looks and feels like the Crow from the CC years.
I know this is a long shot but I remember seeing some Crows on eBay many years ago, and the fact that Servo is still on there gives me some hope.
So does anyone have any suggestions? Or does anyone know if joecrow is still doing this? I'm willing to pay a very reasonable price!
Thanks for the help guys.

I thought JoeCrow was still around (I believe that's where Joel & co got the puppets for the Rhino bonus segment), but it's been awhile since I've ordered any bot parts. I'd say keep an eye on eBay for the time being. Crow's paint is the same in both the CC and SF years, it was the lighting that changed. Which reminds me, I REALLY need to finish my Crow (complete with Trace "Bite Me!" autograph on his shoulder plate).

Crow is painted with Testors #1642 Lime Gold Metal Flake. Which reminds me, my Crow needs a shoulder replacement.

Whenever I get my own Crow, I'd prefer the yellow of CC Crow as well. JoeCrow's is too...shiny : \
That said, I'm not sure if I'll ever have the scratch to by a completed Crow, Tom Servo, Gypsy, or S10 Cambot from the guy. Jus too expensive.

I suppose I'll just keep checking eBay for now. Or hopefully Joe checks his e-mail.

I had similar question and was told by gerrit rogers that Joe's taking a break. However, he is forwarding the orders to Gerrit. pm me for the email addy and I'll give it to you. I haven't used him yet, so I can't tell you anything on quality. However, he said to use the botcave listings as the prices guide and if there are any changes it will be discussed before purchase.
He uses paypal, so there is that.
also of benefit is the bot building group at yahoo. there very active and are a great resource too.

Hey guys, I thought it might be nice to update this thread with the results of my quest... As you can see, everything worked out splendidly! I went with frankenforcer's suggestion and contacted Gerrit Rogers. Gerrit is a super nice guy and as you can see, his work with Crow was fantastic. Art now resides comfortably next to Tom near my office desk. :)

Since you own a Crow replica, I'm curious if you can tell me how Crow's controls work for his eyes.

Thanks guys. ;D And yeah, Brandon, the controls are as sky linked. Here's a close-up of the controls on my Crow. As indicated, pulling in one direction makes Crow's eyes look up, and vice versa when pulling it the other direction. My only issue is that spinning this contraption at the bottom turns Crow's eyes from side to side, but there's no way to actually turn his head. His head will turn when you turn the eyes because they're pushing against the side of the soap dish, forcing his head to turn. But do it too hard and they'll pop out of place. Gerrit told me Trace's setup was more complex so I'm sure he had a way to turn Crow's head independently. Or heck, maybe you can do it with mine, too, but I just haven't figured out how yet. It's for display and I'm too scared about breaking it, so I haven't fooled around with it much.
